This restaurant was a remarkable experience. I had the seafood champon and it was spicy and wonderful 😋. The staff were friendly and helpful with explaining food choices. I plan to keep this restaurant at the top of my list of favorites!
This is EASILY the best Japanese food I've ever had. I've searched thoroughly through the Ann Arbor and Novi areas. Hotaru is the best of them by FAR. We got the Takoyaki, Veggie Croquets, Shrimp Tempura. I also ordered the Chicken Katsu Curry Rice (Sadly i forgot to take a picture). Everything was amazing. The portions were perfect. The staff was attentive and on the money. The Atmophere is clean and and fun. I cant recommend Hotaru enough.
Hotaru is a perfect lunch spot. They serve delicious food that is made with care. The service is outstanding and the price point ensures that I will be a regular customer here. I really needed pick-me-up today, and eating their food made just me feel much better.
Also, don't be afraid to answer the chef back when he greets you walking in the door or when he expresses gratitude as you leave.
