Iāve been going to Shiro for years and always enjoyed my visits, but my most recent experience was disappointing. The table next to us was so loud that we could barely hear each other speak, and nothing was done to address it. It felt more like a bar than a restaurant.

Solid place. Reasonably good sake list. Might take a couple times here to determine what is great, but there are great items. The salad. The shumai. The spicy chicken. The hamachi crudo. Those are some of my faves. But a good place, nonetheless.

Went on a date with Gf and food was amazing. The atmosphere was really nice as well and overall was a great experience. Definitely recommend the salmon on the beach, it melts in your mouth. Only reason iām giving it four stars is due to the small portions, itās definitely smaller than youād think.

So the waitress started off by spilling my beer on my date and didnāt even apologize. Food was pretty but taste was very mediocre. Wonāt be going back especially not for the price. Iāve gotten take oout sushi thatās better at half the price. Girlfriendās steak was cold.

I visited a few days ago, and as always, the experience was outstanding. I have been coming here for more than 15 years, and the food and service have consistently been excellent. The staff is always warm and friendly, even the owner makes it a point to stop by and greet me, checking if everything is satisfactory. My family and I are a big fans of sushi/asian restaurant and this is our top choice for a restaurant. We canāt wait to return! I wholeheartedly recommend Shiro!

Apparently, giving less than a 15% tip for a weekday lunch (I left about 13.5%) is considered a ācrimeā here, the waitress actually came back upset and told me I should have tipped more. There was no water refill or notable service that would justify such insistence, yet I was told, āI could have forced a % of gratuity for five people, but I didnāt ā you should already be gratefulāŗļøā Iāve always believed tipping is a gesture of appreciation, not an obligation. If this restaurant wants to enforce a specific gratuity, it should be stated clearly on the menu or raise prices and compensate staff fairly instead of pressuring customers at the table š

Very nice place with European atmosphere. The food was good and multiple choices. Good for casual date or meeting with friends. Although the place was busy it was not noisy at all and you could have conversation easily. Overall good experience.
5 star food with 1 star service. You heard it here first, sorry, it is what it is. Been here twice and after you get your food, itās bye-bye waiter/waitress see you in an hour.

This is a beautiful old home transformed into a great restaurant. The service was outstanding; we were first seated in an area that was very loud and we were graciously moved upstairs in a much quieter area. The food was the highlight. It was the absolutely best sushi I have ever had. Oh, my goodness! The next time I am back in the area, this will be a must.
