I had errands to run nearby and stopped in to place an order; the establishment was extremely crowded and understaffed. Yet, although business was really busy, I chose to dine in. It amazed me how the staff handled well such a day. I own a restaurant and understand the situation, also hearing the turmoil of a disgruntled patron made me want to acknowledge and applaud the staff for the dedication they put into their job. The food is also flavorful, I had tom yum soup and Drunken noodles.

Extremely disappointed by the customer service I was provided. My family and I have been customers of this joint for 5+ years, and have supported this business happily. My last experience with the takeout ordering over the phone was abysmal. The lady who picked up the phone (if the owner is reading this, working from 7-8 PM on Friday, 2/16) was very rude to me. I had to make some adjustments to our order on the fly, as they removed some items from the menu. As a result, she rushed my order, asked me if I 'was done' after every item, and told me to 'just stop and listen' to her repeat my order when I asked her to ensure there was no meat in any item at the end of my order. I repeated my request for no egg / meat a few times because the last time I came here, they added egg / meat when I specifically asked them not to. When I went to pick up my order, I asked her about her attitude, and she berated me with a very aggressive tone. She once again accused me of being too slow. Honestly so upset with this experience, and Thai Basil has lost a very loyal family of customers forever. Customer service is the cornerstone of a successful restaurant, and Thai Basil has failed on this account.

We’ve been coming here for around ten or fifteen years. When the food is good, it’s blow your mind good. When it’s not it tastes like most other average Thai restaurants in the area. Fortunately it’s good about 90% of the time. We love the crab rangoon, the pad Thai curry, and the pineapple fried rice. The portions are generous. We always end up with plenty of leftovers.

The staff had a very nasty attitude, because my food was not properly packaged and everything spilled out into the bag. We spent over$100 dollars on food and got terrible service, plus she refused to give me my money worth that I spent.. Rude and not friendly towards African American people.

Found this place on Google while driving through Novi looking for lunch. Overall, it was a great experience. They offered complimentary to soup but we only eat halal, we really appreciated the kind gesture. We ordered spring roll and crab rangoon for starters, it was very fresh and tasty not very greasy. Pad Thai with mixed seafood was very delicious. The staff was very kind and helpful, it truly was a team effort. Probably the best experience I’ve ever had. I would recommend coming Thai Basil Novi.

Did not know that you could mess up thai food before coming here. Sorry to he harsh but this was terrible. All dishes had a very awkard taste to them, like sweet with a nasty sour taste to them. Also they’re not even called Thai basil anymore they rebranded.

The menu on the website is out of date which is frustrating. We were told they don’t have sushi but not sure if that’s permanent. Nonetheless, pad Thai is delicious, the tofu is awesome. Spring roles are the best ever!
