worth the price and worth the drive
I never had an Apple - rhubarb piece of pie. I did not catch a hint of either flavor. It was a bizarre combination of red goo. The crumble crust was good, but the layer below and above the fruit was a soggy moist mess. Thank goodness I did not buy a full pie at $39. Outrageous!

The pies are always wonderful, we get one every day weāre in Alanson for the summer.
Weāve been to the old āHouse of Piesā, and in my opinion their Michigan blend pie is even better than the old 4-berry.

We love the pie company and look forward to eating here every year we come up north. We eat 4-5 pies in a week between us. My grandma said the strawberry rhubard pie tasted like her mothers and brought a tear to her eye.
We love the michigan blend pie! We love the owners! Thank you for keeping our favorite little pie store alive!

On a day a really needed a sweet pick me up, i went to the petoskey location and bought a 4 berry pie with crumb top. Now I used to work for the business in Alanson that they bought so I did have a hope of what I wanted a 4 berry to taste like. One bite and I knew that something was just off, I got less berry taste and more I'm not even sure. My kids tried it as they also used to love the pies I brought home and they ended up throwing their pieces away. Now I will give credit that the white chocolate macadamia nut cookies where very good but when I pay $39 dollars for a pie I don't normally plan on throwing it away. In this case I don't think I'll be back to purchase another pie.

Try the chicken pot pie. You won't be disappointed. Filled with chunks of white chicken and vegetables this pot pie is extraordinary. And the crust which I usually never eat was divine. We can't wait to try the steak and Guinness pie which would they were out of. So we'll be returning soon. In the meantime we also got 2 bacon mac and cheese pies, 2 Italian sausage and pepper pies, a dozen cookies and a Michigan blend crumble pie which were saving for guests. What a delightfully delicious bake shop. Thank you to the incredible chef and team. You make a smile āŗļø
Apple Carmel pie was amazing! Not to sweet and so fresh. We were up on vacation with friends. It was well worth the price for all the helpings we got and shared with neighbors. Cookies are just as amazing! And no preservatives, you can't go wrong. The owner was so kind. It's a must try !
