The waitress was very sweet. we felt like we were invited into their home. The food was presented really nice. there is room for improvement on the flavor but it was enjoyable. Loved the California roll. Very cozy place!!

My girlfriend & I got takeout last night from here & we were blown away. The vegan menu has such a great selection. My gf got sushi & udon, & I got the veggie teriyaki bowl. We also split a veggie tempura curry noodle bowl because we wanted to feast. All of it was sooo good! The best vegan sushi I have had in the Lansing area. The teriyaki bowl was awesome too. The curry sauce was a bit thick & heavy for my taste & I am not a fan of udon noodles, but my gf loves them so it's up to what you prefer (:

The sushi itself was great and was freshly made. However there were not descriptions anywhere so you had no clue what you were buying. For example we got a combination box but it didn't say what rolls came in it. They also were pricey.

Went for the first time last weekend. We planned to order sushi which looks like it gets great review, but opted instead for veggie udon teriyaki, and a spring roll appetizer.The appetizer was a small portion, deep fried (I expected the rice paper wraps). Rather flavorless, but they came with a dipping sauce which could have improved the taste. However the sauce was nothing short of strange. My daughter said it reminded her of A1..She got the veggie teriyaki noodle dish. It was a medium sized portion, with only a few pieces of broccoli and zucchini, mostly noodles. A similar dish at Uni gives you twice as much easily and plenty of veggies. The main issue was the teriyaki.. it tasted like anything but. And smelled best described as "like Mcdonalds".The wait was very long, with only one other table being served, but that's not really an issue nowadays with short staffing. I will wait however long it takes for GOOD food though..If we go back we will stick to sushi, that clearly seems to be their strong suit.I forgot to add, the miso soup had a good taste. A little light on the tofu but still not bad..

We have been faithful customers for more than 15 years. The staff is friendly and efficient, the food is always delicious, well prepared, and fresh. Under the current circumstances, we order take out only: it’s ready on time to pick up and the quality is the same. We love this place!

The food is amazing! Ever since we started coming here it has been our go to place to get food when we want to cheer up. The service is also good, friendly faces, and just the sweetest people. Stop in or order online Akagi is top-notch.
$100 worth of sushi was barely enough to feed two people. Found fish bones in my nigiri. Other than that, everything tasted great and was presented well. I don't know, I'd probably eat here again, I'll just keep an eye out for bones next time.

Very very slow. Bad food. I even found iron strip in my meal. The owner said don't what that is. The red hair lady have an bad attitudes to her customers. Go somewhere else. I already reported the restaurants to Michigan Department of Agriculture & Rural Development and USDA.
