Char’s Jerk Chicken & More

Tried it out today and it was so delicious. I’m Brazilian and I really miss saucy flavourful foods and the guy that served me was really kind and clear when I asked him questions. I got the rice with the beans, the sweet meatballs, and the three awesome sides of cabbage, cornbread (so moist and with real corn) and plantains. ? Food was hot and so delicious. Clean plate club!!

Door dashed Ox Tails and Wing dinners. I'm from Chicago and I was hesitant to try the Ox tails. I'm ssooooo super glad I did. EVERYTHING from the Ox tails to the wings, corn bread and cabbage was absolutely on point and is a taste of home (Chicago) I'm not even a veggie eater but I ate it all. I will definitely be frequenting this place. Thank you ssoooo much!!! ✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️

I got this for lunch and I am now obsessed with it. I got the jerk chicken meal
And a beef patty and everything was delicious. Chicken was falling of the bone tender and great taste.

Excellent service from the store and communication. I ordered jerk chicken meal and the Mac and cheese. The store sold out of Mac and cheese after my order was placed and the store called and replaced the Mac and cheese with the chicken rastapast. They had over and above customer service and not to mention the food was hot and tasty. Will be coming back for more!!!!

The food was delicious! Nice and spicy :) The workers are all very friendly, and I got my food quickly! Also- these reviews are no joke. The chicken fell right off the bone.

Absolutely delicious food! Ate here on 7/29/24 at 3:25 pm. Ate the Oxtail meal and it was the best oxtail meat my partner and I have eaten! We were a bit bummed that they didn’t have the curry goat meal in stock, but we’re still extremely satisfied customers! Good sized portions especially for a single person (our meal was shared and satisfied us both). We look forward to eating here more often.

Loved their food. Brought my girlfriend who is Jamaican and she was ready to start crying. Since she's moved and away from family, she has had difficulty finding authentic Jamaican food. She stated that this was seasoned and prepped properly. The Jamaican jerk chicken falls right off the bone, just like how it's supposed to. She states that if anyone who is looking for real Jamaican food, they need to come here.

I went to eat here yesterday for lunch in our local mall and let me tell you how disgusting the food is. Incredibly salty and small portions for the price, rude employees, when I asked for a manager they laughed in my face. Needless to say I’m not one to post reviews or be bothered but this experience got under my skin. I will never eat here again and neither should you!

Utterly horrible customer service. I am a United States Navy Veteran. Never in my life have I been treated with such disrespect for simply grabbing a napkin to wipe off the disgusting tables the food court has to offer. As I was grabbing a napkin, this old woman comes jogging out of the kitchen giving me the stink eye. She snatches the box out of my hand and yells at me for not buying any of their food and that I can’t have a napkin. I smiled and went back to my table with the napkin I could get not giving a single word to her. I was just wiping off the nasty table for my wife and newborn daughter so we could enjoy a meal. I will never try their food after this experience and I’m ashamed to have even wanted to. I would be uptight constantly if I only had a few guests eat at my restaurant if daily too.

My husband and I stopped here for lunch. He really wanted the stewed peas and I took their recommendation for their jerked chicken. The food was amazing! My chicken fell off the bones, was seasoned exceptionally well, and had the perfect touch of spice to round out the flavors! The rice and cabbage were perfect offerings to balance the chicken, and the plantain (this was my first time trying it) has quickly become a favorite for me! My husband’s plate was clear before I even got the chance to sample his, so I know he enjoyed the peas too. We also tried a patty and it was a delightful flakey crust filled with a creamy ground meat. All in all, this was a wonderful surprise to find on our quick stop to the mall and I hope others take the chance to stop in and meet these wonderful folks and have a delicious meal!

My husband and I came here for the first time today. We got a little bit of everything to try, with the jerk chicken being a personal favorite. Not only did the flavor pack a punch, but the chicken was falling off the bone. The workers were also very kind and helpful! They made great recommendations and were super polite. We will definitely be coming back!
