Excellent local fare. Love the pretzel knots and kones of perch and whitefish! Even the fries are top notch! A friend and I shared the blackened salmon salad, asking for 2 bowls; we each had more than enough. The afternoon we visited (approx 5pm), there were 5-6 student-age servers working; they appeared to be standing around and chatting too long before attending to customers. When our server and her trainee finally came over, they were friendly, attentive, and informative.

We loved this place. Stopped in for lunch today after we did a Leelanau Cellars Wine Tasting and purchase right next door. So convenient. As the two buildings are attached, with a phenomenal view of the Omena Bay. The outdoor deck you can walk out on and take some pictures of the bay. Our hostess and waitress were so friendly, and they suggested that we try the fish and chips (we chose the perch) which was served in a cone. So good, highly recommend. We also tried their Bloody Mary’s, and they were made perfectly! Can’t wait to go back. They had a lot to choose from on their menu and you can’t beat the view. Very enjoyable day!

Went there for dinner last night. Server was attentive, views of the water were great. Food was underwhelming. Husband had seafood chowder. The seafood was noticeably lacking as was most everything else. Mostly a bowl of thin liquid, certainly not worth the price. I had the fish tacos. The fish was very dry and the whole taco just ok. Will not return.
Update: Great perch kone. Glad we came here to redeem our visit to Bay Harbor. Obviously they sold that restaurant - now Brandy's - awful food, self serve, on paper plates with plastic cups. Asked if they had Whitefish and I was told " oh yes the fish is white once cooked" (yes she was very serious and yes she was blonde!)

A great standard in Leelanau County. The fish is the thing to get. I got the pulled pork which was disappointing. Service was good even when they’re super-busy. Sit outside and enjoy the view!
