Leelanau Wine Cellars Tasting Room

Our favorite winery in the whole TC area. The wines are top notch. Great customer service whether doing a wine tasting or just looking around. Bonus - the view is amazing from the tasting room!

My mom & I have been here multiple times and never had an issue. Today, we were completely ignored when we came up to the counter. We waited by the counter for 10 minutes. Another group came in after us and they were quickly serviced, told exactly where to go, and they were served immediately. Right next to where we had been standing. We waited for several more minutes after the other group had been helped, but still we were not acknowledged with a “hello” or “how can I help you”. Shame, because we had always been treated with respect when we had visited the winery in the past. Definitely not writing them off, but very disappointing interaction.

The best part about this winery is the views which were amazing! We sat on the patio and they welcomed our dog to join us. We purchased a bottle of the sweet red to take home. It’s a must stop when in the region!

My family came here for a Leelanau Peninsula wine tasting tour, and this couldn’t have been a more perfect first stop. Mark was our incredible bartender - he was a genuine and friendly informant on all things wine. He even recommended wines based on what our favorites were, you could tell it was a passion. The views were STUNNING and our tasting on a Tuesday was complimentary!! Get on down to this winery right off Lake Michigan.

We walked in and sat at a table and then walked out. The view from inside wasn’t good because the windows were terribly dirty!!! What a disappointment. We went next door to Knot just a bar

If you like sweet wine, I would definitely recommend this place! The staff was amazing!

Leelanau Cellars has been a favorite of our family for well over a decade. The tasting room no longer has ANY of the fruit wines or bubbles for tasting or by the glass. Why drive out here when we can no longer enjoy what we have grown to love in their newer products. Don't need to shop at the tasting room as apparently it is all shifted to Meijer. Saddest day and a huge disappointment.

We went here on a wine tour bus and it was a treat! Scott was amazing at explaining wines and a breath of fresh air to start the day! This was our favorite winery we stopped at for the trip. Each wine had a unique taste and there wasn't a single one we didn't like. Also the bottles were soooo affordable!! A must visit.

Great wine, awesome tastings! The staff are super attentive and knowledgeable in their wine. Always a stop for us when we are in town. Have not had anyone at the tasting area that's less than great but Mark is exceptional!!
