Good local restaurants for a tourist town, we had pizza and steak, pizza was good, steak was grounded, and it tasted OK. Waiting a little bit long, since it's busy when we get there .

I went there with my husband about a month ago, it wasn't busy, because of the gloomy weather. And it took almost 2 hours for food to come out, and it was cold. The waitress was horrible, and rude. We were nothing but respectful. And we were treated like garbage. Most of the staff are teens, who don't know what they're doing. I do not recommend it! Unless you want horrible service, and cold, soggy food!

This place has the best pizza!
We come from Lansing to visit the porcupine mountains and eat at Syls. Every time we visit it is still the best. I managed a Pizzaria in Kalamazoo, gone to Chicago, NY and Detroit for their pizza but they have nothing to compare. Syls beats all. Top notch dough, top notch pizza.
Random corner of the North has better pizza than the country.

The best part of my meal at Syl's Cafe was when I stepped out of the restaurant to go home. Stay extremely far away from their dinner service. Mediocre service and some of thr the most dissapointing food I've had the misfortune to ever eat. Supposedly their breakfast is good but you couldn't pay me to try it after tonight's experience.

Clean, friendly place with excellent food and good portions. Our waitress was pleasant, friendly, prompt and checked back often to see if we needed anything. Hashbrowns and American fries are homemade and it shows by the flavor. Great experience.
