Review covers back to back dinner experiences recently while working in Ontonagon. Had an amazing pasty and also tried Syl’s pizza on the second evening. Paired with a tasty house salad both meals all I can say is WOW! This place is amazing. Food, service , quaint atmosphere! What struck me most though was how reasonably priced they are. Being in the area they are where there are not many choices and with food/ freight costs lots of owners would excessively gouge their prices - not here. St Ignace area - prime example. I was very impressed with the affordability and quality of their food! Oh.. and then there’s dessert! Great offerings here as well ! You will see me when I visit Ontonagon again !

The **sweet potato fries** were absolutely delicious, paired perfectly with the **honey mustard sauce** that hit all the right notes. Iced **unsweetened tea** lovers, rejoice—it's packed with flavor and so refreshing. As for the mains, the **thin-crust pizza** stole the show. The crispy crust was perfection, and every bite was pure bliss. It's clear everything here is *homemade*—you can taste the love and care in every dish.
Let’s not forget the charming touches! Upon entering, there's a display of **cookies, donuts, pastries, and pies** that will make your mouth water. Speaking of pies, the board showcasing their **homemade pie selections** is a testament to the attention to detail this cafe offers.

Everything was fantastic. We went here on a Sunday morning before a day out exploring. We were expecting a good breakfast, but we got so much more! Our waitress was phenomenal - she gave us tips on a few hikes in the area that would be good to do in the winter, and she encouraged me to try the Finnish pancake in which I had never tried before. The food was great, the coffee was great, and the service was wonderful. If you are in the area - this is the place to stop.
Had there pasties for my first time , jus wish it came with a tastle , glitter and strong perfume.. oh pepperoni 🍕. The best I've had in awhile.. from Indiana.. good pizza....

Onto sure is lucky to have Syl's in town. They make great food at fair prices. I love their pepperoni bread sticks and pasties. Service is always great even when they're super busy in the summer.
