A MUST GO FOR PASTIES!! Do not skip this place when visiting the UP! It’s a quaint little restaurant with excellent service. Everything that kept coming out of the kitchen looked amazing, including the desserts in the front counter. But we came for the pasties! And it did not disappoint! It was incredible & perfectly made. We were able to get a couple frozen ones to go for our friends at home, but they’ll be lucky if we don’t eat them ourselves!...
Syl’s Cafe was excellent! The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and everything tasted fresh and homemade. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the service was great from start to finish. It has that comfortable, small-town atmosphere that makes you want to come back. Definitely a place worth stopping at if you’re in the area. We’ll be back!
This was my family's favorite restaurant during our five-day stay in the nearby Porcupine Mountains for both the unbeatable cost, quality, and selection. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner there on separate days. They do a fine job of catering to the needs of families with young children with booster seats, highchairs, and crayons.
