Horrible service. I was overlooked at the door. The ppl standing behind me were told to have a seat but I was left until I spoke up. I was very clearly in front of them. Then the waitress checked the two ladies in front of me out and left me standing for 10 minutes. I had an hour lunch and she made me late getting back to work. Very bad first experience. It was at 2:30 in the afternoon and she was the only waitress.
1st impression walking in was of a drowning waitress. We waited quite a while to order, almost walked out. Watching, it became apparent that one waitress was covering the entire place, on a Saturday night. She was running her butt off between tables, take out orders, having to run the register, bus tables....but although she was obviously keeping things moving, she kept a positive attitude, was still friendly, interacted wonderfully with a toddler. Why was she being put through...
In July 2025 I had supper here and had breakfast here the next morning. Pasty was good, too. Would come out of my way in the future to have lunch if the situation arose. Only one block walk from my motel, which is even better, adding to the great northern atmosphere Ontonagon offers, as I live 550 miles away in the Kalamazoo/Grand Rapids area.
