The cafe was busy when we got there, but we were given a table immediately. Instead of being shown to our table, we were told which one to go to, which was unusual but not necessarily a bad thing. We sat in what they called the garden room, a good sized 3-season room with large windows. The staff were harried, but friendly. I had the pot roast skillet, which was amazing. My husband had the giant grilled cinnamon roll, also amazing, and more than he was able to eat in one sitting....
Had such a great experience at this cute little café while visiting northern Michigan. The food was excellent, the service was warm and welcoming, and the whole place just had such a friendly atmosphere. One of my favorite parts was seeing that they hired a young man with special needs who was helping with dishes — he even came out to say hi to everyone, which honestly made the visit even more special. We had an amazing experience at Connie's Cafe! The food was outstanding, the service was friendly and attentive, and the outdoor seating area was absolutely beautiful and relaxing. The fresh baked bread and homemade cinnamon rolls were incredible and easily some of the best we’ve had. Everything felt fresh, welcoming, and well done. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal and atmosphere!
