A great place! It's crazy to think my grandparents came here and my parents did and now me and my sisters, and it seems very little has changed. The chicken dinner is a classic and amazing. The drinks are always good, service is always amazing and they are so friendly. It is a family staple of ours and we always go in the summer and always for the pumpkins in the fall!

A classic throwback to mid-century dinning. The decor, the menu and the ambiance harken back to simpler days. We love the place.

Absolutely incredible establishment. The food is beyond and the vibes are second to none. Expect a long wait but it’s well worth it.

Fantastic home cooking! As always, everything was wonderful; the chicken and of course yummy homemade noodles! Just perfect, especially this time of year when they have the carved pumpkins on display! Can't wait until next year!

Quoted 45 min wait...1 1/2 hours later staring at FLITHY incredibly stained carpet...seated, ask are you ready to order? Got a drink that came with crushed ice...no straw...finally got waitress to ask for a straw...she placed it into my drink with her bare hands...dissapeared and 15 min later still had not seen her, walked out. NEVER going back. So sad.

Atmosphere is great. Food is great. However, service is not. By the time we were seated till our food arrived it was an hour. Then we waited 45 minutes for our check. The servers are literally running to do their job. They need more help. We were seated at 640. Still here at 845 waiting on our check out process.

Place is suffering in staffing I'm assuming, used to be a great old school place to eat but standards are slipping badly. Stuffed chicken dish was overcooked to the point it was barely bigger than a golfball, and for a $30-40 dish that's not cool. Mashed potatoes were brown from being held to long or reheated, homeade noodles (which are usually my favorite thing besides the chicken) were old, tough and cold. Silverware and glassware dirty and unpolished and three of us ordered drinks with ice and all of us had a headache soon after meal, leads me to believe ice machine is hasn't been cleaned recently. Watched a server wipe his nose then claw drinks serving them to his table then open coughed over a table while passing it... Chicken, fried shrimp and our server Tom were great though and will definitely give them another chance, have been going there for years for special occasions and is usually good. The carved pumpkins are always a nice touch this time of year

Going to the Dam Site Inn offers the best of both worlds! Elegant atmosphere with a good old all- American family favorites menu! Our meals were plentiful and delicious and the staff was warm and welcoming! They're all about food, family and fun! Highly recommend !

Returned to DSI after eating there 66 years ago. Had a delightful evening and our waitress was conversational and efficient. Food was delicious as I had remembered it. Would receive this restaurant to any fried chicken lover.

The sides were delicious but the walleye was bland and had so many pin bones

Smoked pork chops so moist and tender, I would come back for that alone. AYC Chicken so delicious and all of the sides on every meal served family style! Its the unsung bargain off US31 South of Pellston. It would be a mistake to pass this treasure by.

A classic no-frills spot for bottomless fried chicken, Amish noodles cooked in chicken broth, and plenty of other delicious comfort food. Perfect for big parties or out-of-towners.…but BEWARE of the bone-chilling Dam Site Inn ghost (see rare photo evidence attached). He still haunts us to this day.

To be fair, it was busy, but we waited 2 hours AFTER we ordered our food to be served. There was a mix-up with our order, and it got forgotten. Waitress was very nice and apologized. We did not see a manager. There was no offer for a discount or complimentary dessert. We wouldn't have taken it but it would have been a nice gesture to offer something for their mistake which had us waiting 2 hours for our food. The food, however, was good. The waitress was 5 ?
