Douglas Lake Bar & Steakhouse

Our group was 12 large on the last night DLB was open for the 2025 “summer season”. The entertainment was fun (Mike Ridley). Our server was fabulous and she worked with our group to separate bills for our convenience. The hostess, Margaret, was excellent in her communication with me throughout the reservation process (for multiple occasions). The food was outstanding as always. See you next summer!

I took Sue to dinner for Sweetest Day. Great meal. Great service. Tammy did a great job. We are disappointed that they won't be open over the holidays this year. Our favorite spot.

My wife and I love Douglas Lake Bar & Steakhouse, one of our fav's! Best Dirty Martini with hand stuffed blue cheese olives in the country. Food is always fantastic and wait staff could not be beat!

Loved the perch, Tuna app was tender, Sue our server was awesome, all good all the way around.

We love DLB.....awesome as always and the staff is great. We were seated immediately and enjoyed the salmon entrees, DLB salads, and french onion soup. Highly recommend.

We love the DLB! My favorite is their signature steak and my husband loves the pork chop! For an appetizer we usually get the mussels or the shrimp Lenny! Both are outstanding! The wedge salad is also a standout as the homemade blue cheese dressing is the best I've ever had. The wait staff is so nice and attentive. We've been there many times over the last few years and we always are very impressed by not only the food but their terrific servers!!

Tammy was fantastic. Checked in on us appropriately, made sure our dinner was to our liking and made sure the temp was good for us. Food was great as always, atmosphere was nice and cozy. Best place to eat in northern Michigan. We drove 1:45 to get there and well worth it! 5 star.

The food was full of flavor and well presented. We both enjoyed them. However, the protein portion I ordered was not trimmed very well. There was a large piece of fat still attached to it. Additionally there was also a chunk of inedible something that still attached. The cooking was spot on as was the presentation, which is stated earlier. Overall the meal was very good, just lacking in the butchering.

Best place up north. Been a favorite for years.

Sat at the bar for the salmon, with a blackened skewer of shrimp. I believe the bartender was Erica. Funny, attentive, and very friendly. Best possible place for discerning taste and unmatched staff. I’ll be here again every occasion I can.

The food was amazing... Highly recommend the bacon wrapped crab stuffed shrimp, my husband enjoyed the bistro steak and their Fall salad was delicious!

Celebrated our Anniversary this evening. Our server was Brody Wood who was exceptional. The food was superb! Our favorite place to celebrate special events.
