Old school diner. Inside is a small shop. The small dining room features an open kitchen with 2 guys (when we were there) cooking up delicious food. We were fortunate to get great weather for outdoor eating. Sitting around a table on some outdoor chairs under a tree was a pretty special time for our group. Our service was great, the food was great, and the portions were big. My sandwich could easily feed 2 people. If we are in the area again, we will be eating there again!
Wonderful meat-lover’s omelette, great coffee, impressive service by all staff! Thanks for a lovely meal!
my food to go was a disappointment the hamburger was way over cooked i asked for cheese but that was forgotten i get it home so disappointing to try the fries and find that the "cook" put a tons of salt on it .it was not the first time i found the place was full of grease smell.i miss the old owner he ran a great little restaurant.
Cooks are great. Food was awesome. Home cooking.. so glad we gave it a try. Prices high but that goes with the we times!!
Amazing food!! Amazing staff!Check Facebook ( or the actual website) for their updated hours. Sometimes goo gle doesn’t have the right hours of operation.
Fun atmosphere. Great food I had the breakfast an it made me feel like I was back in Tennessee.
They ran out of corn beef because it's awesome so I pivoted to the stuffed has brown which is basically amazing crispy has browns with your favorites stuffed inside. I had mine with Zucchini Onion Mushroom Bacon (ZOM-B). Also has fun gift shop
Heading south from Mackinac City to the Grand Rapids area after a visit to the Island, we were google searching for Mom & Pop restaurants near where we were. That's when we found this hidden jewel. A family-run small town gem!! Loved the people and the comfort foodReasonably priced. Highly recommend that you swing off the main drag about 15-20 minutes to have a meal that will make the detour worth it!
Excellent food. Friendly staff. Comfortable breakfast stop on the drive to Mackinac Island.
Awesome food, everything to my liking as homestyle just like grandma made...bit small, no frills but food incredible...gift shop was cool and eccentric.

Wonderful food and service! The French dip is not on the menu, best I have ever had. Thank you.
Small Town Grill is as always a great lunch or breakfast. Food is amazing. Staff friendly and very good. Unfortunately, prices increased because of COVID. Makes it difficult to enjoy it very often. But understandable.
Awesome service and delicious food
Went downhill once it got new owners...staff isnt very nice and the food quality is just not how it was...Its not even a cheap eat there and the times they are open are unbearable and only for early worms and people who eat dinner super early...i guess try it if u want but it's not worth the time
I spent $50 on food that was near home. Everything was terrible. Even the Mickey cakes. A simple pancake. Maybe I just have higher expectations than normal. Biscuits and gravy literally taste like flour and red pepper flakes. $4 cinnamon roll, hard and not good also no icing or anything. 1/10 recommend
