Very disappointing! I have no idea how this place has good reviews after my experience, must be friends or employees. Went to Charlevoix & chose to try this place for the 1st time. To my surprise, the pics they advertise are NOTHING like what you actually get! I ordered the chicken Caesar (first 2 pics) & the olive burger (3rd pic). As you can see in the pics, this is NOT real chicken. No idea what it was, but it was super thin & chewy/grissly. You can also see how small the piece was, it was mostly bread. The olive burger was just soaked in the sauce, which honestly, didn't seem to have a flavor. There was hardly any olives on the ‘olive’ burger. It was like 1 olive chopped up? I will absolutely never go back & would NOT recommend this place to anyone. I’m upset I wasted the money & chose this place as 1 of the only 2 places I ate at while visiting Charlevoix. Two thumbs down for sure! I also share all my experiences & reviews on my fb too, this is not the experience or quality of food you should want people to share. Take pride in your business & what you offer!

I’ve always enjoyed the burgers and the service, but the last two times I went to the Back Lot in Charlevoix, there were children running around and playing in the kitchen. I suppose some restaurants allow to bring your kids to work, but this is a small open space and a turn off. I ate at the outside food trucks both times. Maybe I’ll try again sometime. Or I’ll go to the Petoskey location.

I rate the atmosphere only a 4 because I ordered take out. We had got a few things to try as we couldn’t make up out mind. So we ordered the chicken Caesar, black bean and signature with an order of the fresh coast fries and queso.
It was all hot and fresh when I picked it up. Great local place, amazing flavor. Since I am from out of town and we did take out I was a little confused on the location but it all worked out. The place looked like it would have been a great vibe had we ordered dine in.
The signature one my heart out of them just on the simplicity of it. Black bean burger definitely was a house made and not a frozen patty and the Caesar was a great mix. These were split between 2 people and it was enough plus some and at a great price. Will be going back
