The smell coming out is this place is always amazing, so I gave it a second go. The pretzels aren’t terrible, but they really lack the thick, chewy, brown crust you expect on a pretzel, so they’re more like a dinner roll that happens to be a fun shape. You can see how pale it is around the sides in the photo. Flavor isn’t bad, but a little sweet for my personal taste, which might be counterbalanced if the crust was better. Great pretzels! You need to stop here if you're just looking for a snack. We ate ours and ended up coming back for more. Lobby is very small with limited seating, but there are tables on the side of the building or a park, which is just a few minutes' walk away.
This is the best pretzel place in the world. Or, at least of all the pretzels I've ever had. We make an annual trip to Petoskey every year and always come here at least once, maybe twice, per trip.
