Sandwiches are really good here. I would suggest the BLT hot. They also have a great selection of gourmet treats which I really enjoyed. All the employees were smiling and it was a pleasure to visit here.

I walked in and it smelled amazing. I walked to the back to find the source. I ordered the fresh baked ham and cheese croissant. It was fantastic! The staff was very friendly. Thank you. Symons has all sorts of great products for sale. Lotions, soaps, chocolate, cheese, wine and more.

Stop for a quick sandwich. We got in and out quickly with delicious sandwiches. We'll worth working the Summer traffic to get downtown.

Amazing selection of local liquors and sweets. Chocolate pastry was AMAZING. Great variety with reasonable prices. Staff were also quite friendly.

Ordered lunch for the office. We all picked out a sandwich and put it in on friday for monday lunch. The sandwiches were absolutely great. But the order was really messed up so some did not get a sandwich.

Everything tastes great, even the huge cookies. Why not a 5 you ask, will $13.00 for a sandwich ONLY❓ $7.00 for glorified egg McMuffin. Need to lower prices. Then ppl will come from all over.

I love this place for everything Michigan! I work up the street and try to come here for lunch once a week, and leave with something new for the kitchen!

I try not to submit negative reviews but feel obliged to after an unfortunate circumstance that happened at Symons during the 2023 Petoskey Ladies Night Out. Many of the stores were simply horrible to the few guys who were there with their wives/partners. Of those, Symons General Store was the worst.We were walking along and they had a guy out on their front porch offering drinks. My wife walked up and this guy calls her over to offer her a drink and totally ignores me. She went inside to look around while I waited outside. For the next 10 minutes I stood 5 feet from this guy who continued to be friendly and offering drinks to every woman, even calling to them from a distance. He went out of his way to ignore me and acted like I was invisible…apparently their rule was to be rude to the men.Based on my experience that evening, I know which stores I will be going to in future and those I will avoid….. Symon’s won’t be making a dime from me anytime in the foreseeable future.

Their deli is fantastic. Can't wait to go back and eat at the little Bistro below this market. The Turkey sandwich (1st choice on menu) and the Ham and Swiss sandwiches were both so good. We got both to go as we were traveling out of Petoskey and headed back south toward home.

Changed a LOT since our visit last year. Still a very nice selection of goods.
