Living in Petoskey I've given this restaurant a few tries. Being a guide I got to be honest. The food is JUST okay... service is decent, and the atmosphere is nice.

We were surprised to find the rating to be 4.4 when we visited. Thai Orchid definitely deserves a higher rating. The food was great, it came quickly, the restaurant was clean with a casual friendly atmosphere. If you are looking fir Thai, you should go there.

Everything we had was delicious! I had the Tom kha gai with the spicy level 5. The broth was delicious and vegetables were fresh. My entree was the pad thai with the protein being more vegetables. Spice level 4. Everything was fresh and Spice level were spot on.

Server was brisk despite it not being very busy. Ordered the lotus duck and seafood split. Food was good and came out quick. Maybe the waitress was having a bad day idk, would come again.

What a wonderful restaurant! Our server was a young woman who was GREAT (friendly and helpful). We were there about 4 PM on a Friday, and our food arrived within 5 minutes of ordering - wow!. My husband ordered Pad Cashew, and I got red curry. They were both really, really good. The portions were generous, and I found myself wishing that we lived closer to Petosky (so that we could eat here more often!)
