The mustard salmon was excellent, and i do not even like mustard or especially mustard seeds. But I liked them in this dish, they were like little bursts of joy in my mouth. The walleye was really good too we went back for a second visit.

The pasta specials were so tempting but somehow, rhe beet salad was more tempting. Best choice I've made in a long time. It was the best salad I've had in recent memory. So good it might be my go to...and the setting and service were wonderful. Especially the magnificent view of Little Traverse Bay.

My 1st dinner walleye it was served at room temperature, so they replaced it with a perch dinner it was also served at room temperature, just horrible so I left without having dinner and no they did not change me however again it was 8pm and I was without dinner.
From the minute we walked in (with no reservation), Becca made us feel special and we knew we’d selected the right place for dinner as we were unfamiliar with the restaurants in Petoskey. She sat us at a table with a fantastic view, and proceeded to give us honest and helpful suggestions. Then, with Brendan as our server, with his (and Becca’s) suggestions, our meal was perfect and so delicious (French onion soup, Maurice salad, Bolognese)… it was perfect from beginning to end. Don’t hesitate to try the Beacon Bistro…it’s wonderful in every way.

The location gives you a view of the lake. But it is overshadowed by prob one of the worst food I’ve had. Instead of spending time replying to all these negative reviews, maybe use it to improve your food?
Your “crab” cake is made up of imitation crab. Prove me otherwise. Send a pic
