What a pleasant find for breakfast! The food was excellent, and the service was pleasant. We were served quickly, and our food was prepared fairly fast. Everything was delicious.
We went for Mother's Day and though they were busy, we only had to wait a minute or two to be seated. Our server was friendly and communicated well. Even though it was busy and it's a smaller restaurant the noise level was minimal. There was background chatter of course but it didn't impead on us to hear each other and converse. The kitchen is semi open with a service window and there was zero noise from the kitchen. They all seemed to know exactly what they were doing, they were in their zone and working hard and quietly to get the food out. That really stood out to me.
The food was great. It came out in a timely matter and the portions were good. Our party had a classic breakfast, sausage gravy (which tasted homemade and has good flavor), eggs benedict (it was a special feature, I don't think it's a regular item in the menu), an omelet, and a pancake with a special strawberry rhubarb sauce. Everything was great, no complaints or critiques. This was my first time dining there and will definitely return again.
To start off the dining room was empty, which should have tipped us off. The restaurant next door was full. We walked in and saw that the dining room overlooks the lake, and with the setting sun the view was spectacular. After seating us, the very nice waiter took our order and asked me if I’d like regular fries, chips, or truffle fries on the side of the sandwich I’d ordered. I asked specifically if there was an extra charge for the truffle fries and he said yes, it was an additional $7. I then said “oh ok, well then I’ll take the regular fries”. He didn’t even mention that they were going to charge extra for those as well! This place charged me $32 for a verrry soggy and cold lobster roll sandwich, which was mushy with lobster mixed with creamy cole slaw—the juice running off of it in rivers. When we got the bill, we saw that the regular fries were an extra $4, totaling $36 for a sandwich with fries.
My friend ordered a sandwich but the waiter then informed him that no sorry—we don’t have that sandwich right now. So he got the chicken gyro with taziki sauce, which was so strong with onions and garlic that it was obnoxious all evening long for him to try to properly digest. I’m an experienced cook myself and this usually means that the garlic and onions are old and the tzakiki sauce was no longer something they should have served.
Disappointing and I sadly could not recommend this place.
It's a very popular place for breakfast on the weekend. The food is always great as is the service, and it's a very comfortable place to be.
I've missed this cute little place so much, I thought they went out of buisiness and I almost CRIED. only to find out they just moved near Olson's, this is the BEST breakfast joint in petoskey and has truly the best atmosphere. The workers are all polite, and the food os truly something else. They make hands down the best corned beef hash I've had in my life, and that's not the only gem on the menu. Highly reccomend this place, worth every last dollar spent.
Great breakfast spot
The BEST staff and the best food! Awesome weekly specials. Personally my favorite special is the lemon pancakes with raspberry syrup. Highly recommend!!

I am gluten free and there were several options. I didn’t ask if they had gluten free bread so I’m not sure. I had the baked oatmeal. Delicious! And the service was great. Will definitely return.
