My friend ordered a bday cake for her mom and gluten free cupcakes. Cupcakes were horrible, straight to trash. The cake wea size of a dessert plate that was $75. Outrageous. Buttercream was cheap American buttercream, sugar bomb. I don't know how they are still in business. No stars. Store bought cakes are better. I had to give the one star because review can't be sent it with no stars. NO STARS.
Tried to stop on 02/24/23 @ 10:30am. Google map hours show it being open, sign in front door says they moved to the back of the building. Dback door is locked with no indication of altered hours or reason for being closed.
Wile cakes and cookies look good they don't have no taste . Cake are dry , filling is poor . For my son's second birthday everybody took a bite of cake and that was it . The entire cake went to trash.
UPDATE: They have removed my Facebook review and blocked me from their page. VERY professional.Contacted ICB in May to order a smash cake for my sons first birthday, I sent inspiration photos to them via Facebook messenger and went over the details on the phone. The person I spoke with immediately sent me and invoice that I paid.Upon pickup of the cake in October, it was completely wrong. Majority of the design elements including the entire top portion were missing. I immediately contacted ICB and was told a new person had completed my order and they were unsure how they missed the design elements. They offered a partial refund. I asked if they could make the missing elements and was told no, they didn’t have time and didn’t want to give me a “half-assed” cake. They then offered a larger refund.5 business days after the event, I called requested information on how the refund would work, I was told the business initiated it already and it takes 5-7 business days. On business day 10, I contacted the bakery again and was told they would look into it. On business day 12, I contacted them again and was told they requested the status from their vendor and would get back to me asap. On business day 17, I contacted them again and received no answer. I called the bakery and someone took down my information and said they would call me back shortly and never did. I ended up contacting my bank to dispute the charge.I do NOT recommend. While they post beautiful cakes, they do not take responsibility for their mistakes and ignore customers when questioned. Perhaps they don’t realize when people spend $50+ on a cake, it’s for a meaningful event. My son’s first birthday cake was ruined and unusable. I ended up getting a different cake for him.Based on reviews on Facebook and the BBB website, it’s not the first time they’ve done this.
Super disappointed. My son's 16th birthday. Asked for a zombie apocalypse cake. Zombies, blood, brains, gross stuff. Saw other pics of cakes that were creative and over the top. Unfortunately, that is not what we got. It was a nice looking cake, but much more "pretty adult Halloween party" than zombie apocalypse. The disappointment on my son's face was obvious, but we made the best of it, thought well it probably tastes great. Nope. The macarons were wet, the frosting was gritty with sugar and waaayyy to sweet. The chocolate cake was dry and tasteless. Almost everyone stopped eating after a few bites. (only 3 of 11 people actually finished their slice). For an expensive cake that we drove an hour each way to get, absolutely not again. I could just cry.
First off, credit must be given that these macaroons we're only of our set that included a jam with the filling. It's a nice touch...Alas the cookies themselve's were the most lack luster in every other regard... The crusty shell lacked a satisfying crunch to pillowyness ratio (weird to write, but if you've experienced these cookies at their height, like at say Kalamazoo's Victorian Bakery [under 20 minutes away, provide same day service and cost the same or less], then you understand my sentiments). Had they not the jelly they did, their most remarkable feature would be their blandness...But these are special order, I asked for a dozen assorted for Friday before labor day and these at their earliest convenience which translated to today the 9th. Apparently special macarons have some bottleneck on their production and can be manufactured in a 3 day window. Quel domage...They were special orders in that I asked they have spots on half. The idea being they resemble Amanita mushrooms for a birthday cake on the 5th. I suppose I should have included a picture as these have spots on a half of a half. But I suppose to the baker, maybe?, They cant be flipped in production so the exposed top is the "whole"... I don't know... Let's not give ourselves too much to charity.Which is a sentiment they hold close to heart! You see I never received the assorted dozen. I had forgotten to pick them up at 9am that Friday and given the labor day holiday , and their limited hours, the earliest next opening was today, a full week later. At pick up today I simply informed, "We had to throw them out, they do go bad.".I hope in reading this my audience finds a chuckle, it is funny with a 68$ punchline.I wish, moving forward, I had received some notification, a phone specifically at any point. Like, hey are these dots right, or "just reminding you of today's pick order.". Maybe in the face of self evident err some attempt at amelioration, perhaps I ask too much...If you're in dire need of Macaroons, know there is a bakery across the street that makes a decent gluten free cupcake and macaroons. Along with the aforementioned Victorian Bakery [open the Sunday before laborday, most likely 7 days a week equally equipped and staffed] who, in my opinion, wholeheartedly makes a support cookie.
Highly recommend!! Very professional and kind staff members! The staff brought our ideas for a custom wedding cake and cupcakes to life. It was exactly what we wanted and we only heard great things about the cupcakes we had for our guests! Will definitely use again for future occasions. Thank you again!
I have a few things to say, about this bakery. A few months ago, when the bakery was doing retail, I started to pop in once a week to test some macaroon flavors. I wanted about 4 dozen, four different flavors, and I had just recently tried macaroons so I wasn’t too sure what I wanted. When I first came in they were super friendly but after a while it didn’t feel like a friendly environment. It was like “oh great this girl again”. Most places would see me as a regular! I gave them quality business while treated as inconvenient. Also, not that it makes me more important than other customers by any means but I was driving 45 minutes one way to buy a few macaroons a week. Moving on, in my opinion what they had on display and what I got in my order were crazy different. I’m not sure if it’s because I ordered pastel colors or what but the ones in store were just better looking and tasting overall. One of my favorite flavors, after weeks of trying them, was the coconut raspberry. Every time I went in I got at least one! They were always filled with a yummy raspberry filling and it just felt like magic in my mouth. However, what I got was not that! I was told “there’s raspberry flavor in it” and that I should have specified that I wanted what I was consistently tasting for weeks. Not sure how I was supposed to know that but I guess my bad. I also ordered a swirl like design for 2 of the 4 dozen I ordered. You never would have known. Overall look wise it just looked like a bad batch. Matter of fact 2 of them were even crushed and no good to display. Speaking of display these macaroons were not worth displaying so they weren’t. Like I said, they looked like the quality was low. I ordered a sage green and got brown. I asked over 20 people what they thought and only one person said they saw a hint of green and their exact words were “I see a hint of a very nasty looking green that would resemble my dirty dish water ?”. It just wasn’t cute. The flavors were not as strong. Very bland to be honest. I pictured my gps to show how far I drove (I know some will see that as inconvenient, but hey they found me inconvenient too so it won’t phase me.) I also thought it was important to show you the unappealing versions of “sage green” and “pastel pink” macaroons I received. They aren’t wrong with the pastel pink I guess, it just looks so poorly made to me. Pastel pink is supposed to be cute and these were not. I also have the ruined ones pictured and you can see the poor swirl affect on some as well (in the background). Those are pictured black and white because I tried editing them to make them look half decent for photos. Overall won’t order from here again nor will I suggest it. Hope my review helps someone save some money on some mediocre treats. I circled the “swirled” macaroons which some may argue it’s hard to tell with it being black and white but the swirls were supposed to be pink and white and green and white so you should most definitely be able to see the white in a black in white photo. Also, we took pictures of the damaged ones IN the parking lot so it was not a transferring issue on our end!! I let the lady know IN the parking lot how I felt. I went back inside even, and she said to contact her back cause they wanted to make it right and hear my feedback but that went no where. Horrible customer service. Last thing! Their cake isn’t that good. I was gonna order cakes too but while they did retail I was able to purchase a cupcake, which I was told is exactly how their cakes are, and it was HORRIBLE. I had my sister make boxed ones that were way more worth the money and were absolutely delicious!!
They did an amazing job decorating my daughter's birthday cake and it even tasted good too!
I ordered two dozen cupcakes for Christmas. I told them I didn't need them too fancy and they look amazing. One has been eaten so far and they're high quality. They definitely delivered. I'm excited to order a cake from them eventually. Thank you guys!

This is the best bakery I've been to in years! We tried a few different flavors of macarons, as well as a cupcake, and everything was phenomenal! I've not had macarons from too many different places, but these were by far the best ones I've ever had thus far (and I'll absolutely be back for more in the future). The cupcake was equally fantastic, with delicious, well-balanced chocolate buttercream icing and a buttery, fluffy cake. Everything tasted expertly homemade. It was all so good, we ate it all before thinking to take any photos, hah! If you're on the fence about stopping by, I'd definitely suggest you should! Yum!!Edit: We went back for more, and I remembered to take photos this time! Pictured are the macarons we picked out: Galaxy Swirl Salted Caramel, Peanut Butter Cinnamon, Mint Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Orange, Raspberry, and Hot Chocolate. Their Lemon macarons are one of my favorites, so I definitely recommend them if they're in the case, and, if you like floral flavors, their Lavender macarons are decadent, too!
They made the most beautiful cupcakes for my daughters first bday. We had a gemstone/ crystal theme and they knocked it out of the park with how beautiful they were! not only were they the most gorgeous cupcakes I've ever seen they were soooo delicious. I've always hated macaroons and they were the best macaroons I've had in my life. 100/10 would recommend this place!
Pretty disappointed in my coffee being that it was served lukewarm and tasted burnt. Had a piece of cake from one a friend ordered and it was dry and crumbly. Atleast it looks good?
I was very disappointed with our experience with this bakery, especially after seeing all the wonderful pictures of others’ cakes on Facebook. The cake I ordered was so incredibly dry and old tasting. It was very embarrassing to have served it to our guests for my sons birthday. Then, when I reached out to the bakery about my disappointment having spent $80 on a cake, I was originally told they wanted to make it right with me and was so sorry about my disappointment. Well I’ve reached back out to them since and have heard nothing. That’s terrible customer service in my opinion. For the prices you pay, you should do better! Shame
AMAZING!!! They were able to surprise us with exactly what we had in mind- super delicious. On time pickup & everything was fresh! Definitely will be ordering again!
