I have been to this place so many times. The Best Authentic sambar I have ever tasted in Michigan. The Mutton Biryani is really good....mutton is perfectly cooked . Staff is friendly, easy take out.

Chennai Express is one of my favorite Indian restaurants in metro Detroit. The Andhra masala dosa is spicy and delicious, and the gobi manchurian is perfectly crispy and flavorful. The new tables and ambience was great, the staff was friendly, and the bathrooms were clean. Highly recommend!

Food is good, taste super, biryani is perfectly cooked, loved the taste, aroma spice level🫰🏽👌🏽, kothu parotta is also good. Chef is from mana Chittoor😊Regular menu is very nice. Very less Vegetarian items, I'm from Memphis, but now I'm in Michigan but far from this restaurant will try next time few more items. The restaurant capacity is small but I'm curious how they handle buffets in this small space.
I recently visited Chennai Express and was genuinely impressed! The food was absolutely delicious—authentic flavors, fresh ingredients, and generous portions. The service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommend for anyone craving great South Indian cuisine!
The food is really good and that’s the only reason this place survives. This restaurant is really small and cramped. And the service is really bad. In the middle of my buffet lunch, my seat was reassigned. If you’re trying to check this place out for their food, either plan to come very early or just get take out.
Food was delicious, we had the chicken 65 biryanis and an order of samosa. Both were excellent!

The unlimited meals buffet was terrific. Especially Parotta, Egg Pepper masala, Thalapkatti biryani were all top notch.
