Chennai Express is a gem! I have been enjoying their food from their initial days. The authentic South Indian dishes makes for a fantastic dining experience. Their biryani has been consistently delicious. Their Chinese fries rice is one of my top recommendations apart from their biryani. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone craving delicious Indian cuisine.

To begin with, we ordered an appetizer that was supposed to come with a banana leaf, but it never arrived. Instead of proper plates, we were served on paper plates, and were given mini water bottles, which felt a bit unusual. While the sambar was enjoyable, the rest of the food lacked the flavor we were hoping for. Unfortunately, when we asked for a to-go box, we were given only aluminum foil to wrap our leftovers. Overall, the experience fell short of our expectations, and I would recommend exploring other dining options.

I love Chennai express. Any time if I have a long day it’s my go-to and there’s enough leftovers for lunch the next day. Their samosas are ? and their tikka masala is even better!

I was out of town and while heading to home from Detroit airport, I wanted to eat authentic Tamil food to change my taste bud as I wasn’t getting one during my vacation. Also I wanted to try this place as one of my friend was recommending. The staffs are very friendly and the food we ordered were exceeding the expectations and highly delicious. Recommended to all who wants to eat some authentic food and to enhance your taste buds. Good luck to the team. I would come again during the weekends as they offer weekend specials.

I went for the first time and ordered Masala dosa and chana bhatura. Masala dosa was the best I ever tasted in Michigan. Bhatura was good. Overall I enjoyed the food.

Paneer biryani is best here in whole Michigan, I order their biryani every week. The quantity is enough for two people at just under 20$. I couldn’t take the picture because I was too busy to eat as soon as I reach home.
