La Bistecca Italian Grille

After a networking event in the area, my husband and I were looking for a late dinner and decided to try La Bistecca. Since we’re not very familiar with the Plymouth/Livonia area, it was a bit of a spontaneous choice—and what a great find.

Our server, Michael, let us know that the kitchen would be closing in about 20 minutes, but he never made us feel rushed and provided attentive, professional service throughout the evening.

My husband ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, and I had the Frutti di Mare con Bucatini with bay scallops, shrimp, sun-dried tomatoes, fresh spinach, and a creamy basil pesto sauce. Both entrées came with a fresh house salad and bread with dipping oil. The salad was simple but incredibly fresh, and my pasta dish was honestly one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The house-made fresh pasta was outstanding, and every ingredient tasted high quality and perfectly prepared. It’s rare for a dish to be memorable enough that you’re still thinking about it days later, but this one definitely was.

The atmosphere was exactly what we love in an Italian restaurant—dark and moody with a classic, timeless feel. The music selection, featuring Frank Sinatra and other classics, complemented the ambiance perfectly and made the whole experience feel special.

La Bistecca was a wonderful surprise, and we’ll absolutely be back. If you’re looking for authentic Italian food, great service, and a warm, classic atmosphere, this place is well worth a visit. 🍝🍷

La Bistecca made my 30th birthday something I won't soon forget. To call their food simply excellent would be doing it a disservice. I cannot recommend them enough.

Where do I even start, from the moment we walked in everything was amazing from being greeted at the door being seated at our table. Our server was phenomenal. Very friendly. The food was amazing. The fillet is definitely a must try and the chicken Parm was phenomenal . Our server Michael went above and beyond and made the night very pleasant for us . The manager Donna was very friendly and got us dessert for our anniversary dinner

A true hidden gem. My husband and I always say we're going to try something different, but we both still end up ordering the steak. Dark and cozy, perfect for date night. Service is top notch!

By far the tiniest 6oz $65.00 filet I have ever had in my entire life, and I am 70 years old! I have had a LOT of filets! All of the boasting about the beef they use, and it just wasn’t that good. Don’t order the filet!! It is WAYYY over priced!!!

Frequent out-of-towers. Love this place great atmosphere and staff. Tonight was an exception from our server, Christie. Donna had her back as best Donna could. Seems too often, we got forgot between appetizers, beverages, an entrées. Will return and do what we can to have a server other than Christie.
