The Tavern was just the right place for me to take a break from bugs during a camping visit to the island! While I was walking to beer, fries, and air conditioning, the parking lot and boat dock make a return trip compelling
Fantastic experience every time! Food is delicious, service is top notch, staff is friendly, and atmosphere is great. Play a game of shuffleboard or pool with your friends and family or even a few locals. You can also watch the freighters pass by on Lake Huron from the flower lined front deck and take a walk down their dock just a short walk across the road. A tavern I've visited once or twice a year over the past 5 years. Under new ownership the food has improved considerably. Adult beverages (its a tavern). Locals and visitors have a good time.
