Great bar atmosphere with a solid vibe for a hotel setting. The food is decent but fairly standard for the environment. Staff are generally capable, though at times they can come across as a bit disengaged, which may reflect the pace and demands of a busy, high-turnover clientele.
Woodward’s serves delicious food in a contemporary atmosphere with awesome team members. I have done a bunch of times and have never been disappointed. They use the freshest ingredients and take pride and everything they do. The cocktails are flavorful. It’s also the center of the action in the area. I stopped in at the restaurant inside the Marriott in Pontiac, MI and opted for their Waldorf Salad topped with salmon. The salad itself was a standout—an excellent mix of dried cherries, apples, grapes, celery, and walnuts over a fresh kale blend, all tied together with a light apple cider dressing. The salmon portion was generous and nicely prepared, adding a satisfying protein boost to the dish.
