My spouse and I are regulars here, and for good reason... The food is absolutely incredible and the people who work here are all really friendly. I normally hate omelettes, but I love omelettes at Cavis. The entire breakfast menu is extremely well executed. The lunch menu is also quite delicious. I'm personally a fan of their chicken salad croissant sandwich for a quick lunch. Like every diner in town, they serve coneys that are a pretty solid choice, and I find that they have one of the more distinct Coney sauces in the area. I've never been disappointed by the food here, and their prices are quite reasonable. Their waitstaff are all super friendly, and get to know their repeat customers pretty quickly. Plus, even when they're packed, they keep your coffee and water full. Cavis is well worth going off main street, whether you're a local or just driving through... It's a local institution. Diners just seem to be a thing in Port Huron, but if I had to pick just one local joint to take a visitor to, it would be Cavis. Hands down.Edited to add: Since new management has decided to gut everything good about this place and turn it into a tourist trap, I can't recommend it any more, but this review stays up as a testament to the best diner in town's legacy.
The best cook they had they got rid of once they closed. Prices have skyrocketed. Nothing close to what it used to be.
I regularly stop by buying some food in this spot. I loved the speedy customer service and well cooked food. Keep up the good work.
Breakfast was great! Good size serving and price
My husband and I ate breakfast here this morning. The Hungry Man with eggs over easy, extra crispy bacon, fresh potatoes w onion, delicious smoked ham, white toast, a side of biscuits and gravy. The best food I have ever ate in a restaurant setting. Everything was cooked to perfection. The service was amazing. Our waitress was attentive, kept my coffee warm. The music was at a perfect level, the atmosphere perfect. I’m glad we chose this place and will make it a regular stop when we return to Port Huron. Excellence
Yummy, fresh, and inexpensive food! I love this local gem!
Greek skillet is the best! Always friendly and fast service. A gem in Port Huron.
Great Food! Fast & Pleasant Service.
This is hands down one of the best establishment's in town. The girls are warm and friendly, the keep my coffe cup full and hot and the food is never off point. They are masters of small talk, and when i sit at the counter and read the paper they have a great way of making me feel at home. I always get the western omelet (with no ham) and it is CONSISTANTLY delicious. Anyone who gives this place a bad review, in my opnion, needs a C.A.T scan.
Love the food & hope it never changes. Judy has been the excellent staple waitress there for more then 20 years.

Great Food and Amazing Staff!
Another great husband, wife run food establishment.
Love the Da Vinci eggs
Yuck. Dont order the hummus chicken pita. Nothing was seasoned. Food was cold. Waitress corrected bill & took the pita off, so at least theres that.
Go in on Monday to Wed for all omelettes for 4.99. Before 11am. I ordered one that is normally $7.50 and it was very filling, came with toast. Very old and original but the place has been maintained. Excellent waitress
