Freighters Eatery proved to be a very good dining experience. We were given a window table with a lovely view of bridge and the river. We had pesto pasta with perfectly cooked chicken and a steak. The waitress was attentive, and our food was prompt. We also chose to do the buffet breakfast; the waitress was great. Coffee and water refills were timely. The manager was attentive and actively making sure buffet was full. Two things were not good on buffet: the link sausage tasted...
We sat outside, it was beautiful looking across St Claire River to Canada and seeing the freighters coming in and out from Lake Huron. Absolutely will come back when I'm in town for work. My colleagues and I enjoyed the margaritas, ahi poke appetizer, zip chicken, blackened fish, and the fish tacos. I would order the fish tacos over and over again at this restaurant. They were fresh and delicious, best combo of flavors!
We had a reservation and were seated on time. Waiter took our order in a timely manner, however my husband's soup was delivered way before I received my salad. We waited a good amount of time for our entree, which wasn't bad, but no one came to refill drinks. Food was delivered and very good. Husband asked for ketchup for his fries and there was ketchup all over the outside of the ketchup lid. (Definitely not something I would expect from here.) Overall the food made...
