Amazingly charming place, with great decor and good vibes. A good place to come and just sit, meet a friend, read a book, or have lunch. Highly recommend!

Just had a very disappointing experience at The Raven, which has always been one of my favorite coffee and breakfast spots.

For context, my family and I had to be at the courthouse at 9 a.m. and decided to meet at The Raven beforehand for coffee. The last time I dined in, service was quite slow and I nearly ended up late for work, so this time we opted to order our drinks and food to go.

While waiting, we sat at an empty table there was only one other group in the café at the time. Not even three minutes later, a blonde woman approached us and rather curtly said, “Takeout means just that—take it and go,” and, “Next time, you can’t sit down if you order takeout; tables are for full service.” Had there been more customers, we wouldn’t have thought to sit down- but the place was EMPTY. We didn’t make a mess or cause any disruption.

Next time we will go somewhere else.

Really cool place with books, games and Ravens. The server was great. Very attentive and got the order correct without writing it down. The raspberry Italian soda was good as was the hot chocolate. I got the jeronchicken wrap and my wife got the BLT. Both were really tasty.

You can’t go wrong with any option on the menu. I tried the spinach dip, soup sampler, espresso martini, and peach margarita. Everything had so much flavour and was delicious!

This place is so great! It was a wonderful place to stop to grab a bite to eat. Everywhere you look there is something that catches your eye. They have a big and diverse menu and many options to choose from. We didn’t get any drinks while we were here but should have.

We split a Ruben, which was good but I wasn’t a huge fan of the rye bread it was served on. Overall it was a good sandwich.

We started with the spinach dip and it was good. I recommend getting it with the pita over the chips.

Soups were also very delicious. I had French onion and it was exactly what one would expect. The Baja Chicken Enchilada reminded me of the tortilla soup from Max and Erma’s. It was fantastic. They should really service it with strips of tortilla on top.

I haven't been to this place in years and thought maybe I'd give it another try, NOTHING NEW! Still the same rude crappy service it's always been and the food is nothing special. The only thing this place had going for it was the atmosphere, but that's ruined by the rude, unprofessional waitstaff! Won't be back again.

In my experience… I was traveling through, checking out the area. The atmosphere was blah at best, the customer was more welcoming that the staff haha
It was 4 in the afternoon so maybe everyone is ready for a nap. At 54 years old I was asked for my ‘identification’ which I thought was kind of odd, but perhaps a way for them to see where I was from … Beer was good. I was so hungry I ordered a BLT thinking it was a slam dunk…
Menu said “a generous portion of crispy bacon” leaf lettuce…
What a d disappointment to say the least ..
It was not crispy or generous ha !
Honestly… the worst BLT I’ve ever had ..

So .. I would not recommend this place if one were asking..

The Raven is an absolute gem. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by an incredible ambiance that sets the tone for a fun, relaxing experience. The atmosphere is lively yet cozy—perfect for catching up with friends or enjoying a quiet coffee alone.

The lemon cake was outstanding—light, perfectly balanced, and full of flavor. It’s clear they put real care into their pastries. The coffee selection is equally impressive, offering a variety that can satisfy both casual drinkers and true coffee enthusiasts.

The staff deserves a special mention—they’re upbeat, engaging, and make the entire visit even more enjoyable. Their energy really adds to the vibe of the place.

Overall, The Raven delivers on every level: great food, amazing coffee, and a fantastic environment. Highly recommend stopping by—you’ll want to come back.

I couldn't wait to check this place out. I had been wanting to go here for a long time. It did not disappoint!! The atmosphere is the best! We checked out the upstairs, it has a outdoor patio to sit at. The first level is just a nice, cozy, relaxing atmosphere. We loved the adult frozen coffees. Had a chocolate peanut butter shake with peanut butter whiskey! Yum! On our two day weekend trip, us girls went there 3 times!

I love this little shop. The food and coffee is great. It really is. The only downside is some of the staff let personal feelings affect service and that’s a shame. But I will continue to come here because I enjoy the atmosphere otherwise and the coffee. The Raven is certainly a gem in Port Huron.
