I couldn't believe that this place was no longer open! Tom was a great guy and I miss when our whole family would regularly visit his restaurant in Macomb on North Ave. Best little spot in the area.

My wife and I used to frequent this restaurant several years ago. We were in the area and stopped in for breakfast. We found that there have been a couple owners since we were last there and decided to have lunch since they did not offer breakfast and were now a Mexican style restaurant. We ordered burrito’s and were very disappointed. It reminded me of school cafeteria food. We do not recommend eating here. Service was good an the place was clean.

The staff was friendly and pleasant. The service was immpecable. The Southern Omelette is delicious. The sausage gravy has a lot of mentions and I'm glad I broke from my diet to have it. It lived up to the hype. My love stuck to our diet and had the veggie omelette. It is fresh and tasty, and the potatoes are so good she almost licked the plate. I stopped her at the last minute. The prices are a blast from the past. Meaning pre- pandemic prices where our meals with beverages cost less than a $20. If you are a local or just passing through you can't do better breakfast than this restaurant and you should support this gem of a small business. Notice we didn't leave anything on our plates for the photo.

We have only ate breakfast here. They brightened up the in side,which is very good. The place looks cleaner. Our breakfast was good. Nothing exceptional but we didn’t expect it to be. Price was very reasonable. Will definitely be back.

I've definitely had better Mexican food honestly even taco bell is better, seriously disappointed by the fact that they serve Mexican food but charge you 50¢ for a tiny little thing of sour cream hell I think they even charged extra for the extra napkins and glass of water. Won't be returning unfortunately, not worth the money or time.

It was so good. A fresh and tasty omelette for both of us, with potatoes, toast, and coffee- less than $20! Waitress was so friendly and attentive. We will be back.

Food: Tacos were delicious. Red pepper style but not overly greasy and a nice amount of cheese.

Atmosphere: Nice, clean looking, un-torn booths. You cab see they are improving.
I would definitely go back and try other food items.
Stopped in with my family on taco tuesday.. Was very delicious.. Service is great!! I'm so glad Mike Duenaz finally opened another restaurant after leaving 24th street!! 10/10 recommend..!!

Not many vegan options, more vegetarian food for breakfast, especially. Had a taco salad but no beans because they cook them with bacon grease. The salsa is very tasty, the same as at their other restaurant, The Red Pepper. Great wait staff, kinda makes up for the food!

We went at 11am on Thursday and service was terrible. There were only 3 people in resturant and we had to beg for coffee. My order came out wrong and then my husband had to wait once I finally got it. They never did bring Salsa and had to ask for sour cream, that I ordered twice. Both waitresses were gabbing and on their phones. We wont be back.
