I’ve never been here in the 16 years I’ve lived in the area but was craving fried chicken. Got two breasts and two sides with a roll. When my husband and I walked in I told the young woman I wasn’t sure how to order what I wanted. She was absolutely amazing and patient. Wish I got her name. Then my husband wasn’t sure what he wanted and was just going to get whatever. She stopped him and said she wanted to make sure he got what he really wanted. The food was just what I was craving and she made my first experience so good. I have anxiety with new places. I doubt she understands how much I appreciate her help.

Best perch in Kalamazoo! And I love their tartar sauce it’s the best I’ve ever had honestly. My bf got the cod basket he said his was very good I got some chicken legs and coleslaw as well very very good!! The staff was super friendly and because they weren’t busy they were kind enough to bring it to our car I will definently be back.

The kids working tonight (9/26)were hauling butt keeping up with a huge influx of customers. They were working together, super friendly, and I was beyond impressed with their work ethic! Food was hot and fresh. Way to go Chicken Coop Team!

Ordered a 10 piece bucket of dark meat chicken on 9/03 at noon and over half the order was way over cooked to a very dark brown color. Whoever pulled that order surely must have noticed but served it up anyway. If it wouldn’t have been such a long drive I would have returned it. I can say from this point on I will never return!

Love love love this chicken. I used to visit the branch in Plainwell but sorry to say it closed years ago and never came back ☹️. Thankfully this branch out in Portage still has the chicken I remember and tastes just like I remember ?

Food was fresh and delicious. Best fried chicken you can get in town! The corn nuggets are delicious and the corn bread is almost like cake. Yum!
First time and last time... me and my family have been throwing up and diarrhea for 2 days now after eating here. Wouldn't recommend it even for a dog.
