I LOVE City BBQ. However, this franchise falls short. The place is often physically a mess and it's brand new! The brisket seems like it's warmed up, it's dry. The fries which are a huge draw for me just aren't right and when I was there last week the sweet tea was not sweet. Now if you'll exscuse me I am going to enjoy the CB in Columbus and forget about the Kalamazoo one.

My fav BBQ type is brisket, and theirs is very good. I prefer plain brisket and cornbread, so I ordered the brisket sandwich without the bread and added the cornbread. My husband got the pulled pork sandwich and cornbread, which was also good. When I picked up the cornbread, I was amazed by the weight! It's very heavy (good) and still moist and not as sweet (also good) as many are. Very nice BBQ for a chain. And the staff were very friendly.

I ordered carry out. Was on the road and took a bite of the brisket sandwich and nothing but fat. Don't get me wrong I actually prefer moist brisket this was not it, pure nasty fat had to spit it out and took another bite of the other slice and couldn't even bite down it was so thick and tough. The wings were very good. As was the pulled pork which was nice and moist I might add! Corn casserole had a strange taste chose not to eat that and lastly the fries ice cold even when arriving at 11:30 and they just opened at 11 but they did have a great taste had they been hot . Ordered 2 types of sauces to give a try and got 2 of the same. The customer service rep when I called was very nice and assured me this is not how they do business.

This wasn't good, it's a banquet meal for $24 wild.Had to add on after another stop a picture is worth a thousand words; you can see the difference this Judges platter was way way better the food was juicy and flavorful will be returning after this one. Definitely try the peach cobbler

We spotted this place while on a girls day out and pulled in. We were happy we did. I had chicken, she had sausage. Both were very good. I am hesitant to order sausage in a restaurant but I tried hers and will happily order it next time. The green beans had good flavor but were a bit overcooked for my taste. I like them a little firm. The baked beans had nice flavor, they were slightly tangy. There was a nice selection of sauces to accompany the meats.

Not the best bbq I've ever had, but also not the worst. It is a chain so not super surprising. The brisket is dry as hell, not tender at all.. the pulled chicken was decent. Mac n cheese was bland... /: Maybe they have other things that are good on the menu?

I am not one for bad reviews but this was not good. The people are very very friendly, I used the drive thru. Not much of a wait at all. The menu was very exciting, I even told my wife I wanted to bring her here but after tasting the food... I started wondering if I had covid ( I do not). There is zero flavor. The bbq fries had 2 pieces of meat and 5 pieces of fat. The meat sandwiches look great, tasteless. The peach cobbler had 1 edible peach and 2 burned ones. It was 95% bread with 3 total peach half-slices. I will not be returning. I refuse to call whatever that was "bbq". Stay away. I would give zero stars for food.

I've eaten here a few times. I really like the brisket, good bark. The ribs don't have as much meat as I'd like but the flavor is top notch. They have a handful of different sauces to try, all of them good. I really like the swine wine! The mac n cheese is ok but I'm bigger fan of the baked beans, they use brisket in those. It took about fifteen minutes in the drive through the last time I went, not a fan of that, but it's not a deal breaker. The pricing can get pretty high if you want to sample everything. Try the city sampler. The turkey and brisket are my favorites. Wash it all down with their sweet tea!

The food here is decent. My smoked briskit was generous with meat, however, too much bark forced me to discard protein(not good). My companion ordered a salad that was also generous in portion, allowing take-home. We also ordered fries and coleslaw. The fries could have done better with another hot oil bath. Ordinary slaw. TRIGGER WARNING: The smoke level inside the restaurant is pretty high. We went home and had.to air out our clothing. I have CPOD and I am sure asthmatic and allergic folks might take care.
