We originally came out to Portage to try a different restaurant, when we got there it had been bought out for a private event. This was only five minutes away and we were famished so we came here. It was an hour before they closed. They never made us feel rushed. They were incredibly friendly. Our food came out quickly. Most importantly it was delicious. I've already recommended this place to a friend of mine.
I can't remember what the dish was called that my husband had, but it had fried chicken, biscuits, an egg, was smothered in country gravy and sprinkled with crispy fried kale. I had a Spaniard omelette with rye toast and tator tots. Everything was seasoned perfectly. We were both very impressed.
It was lively in the restaurant, but not so loud that you couldn't hear the conversation at your own table. There was beautiful art and photography displayed on the walls for sale. We will definitely be back.

First of all, the food is amazing and we had no issues with the food. However, we asked for a peanut butter mocha because it used to be on the menu and were told they couldn’t do it. Then we asked if they could just put peanut butter at the bottom of the cup and literally just make a regular mocha and the barista straight up refused to do it. Our server was amazing, but the barista is rude.
Wonderful breakfast with very creative and tasty breakfast specialties.

Prior to arriving, I had a horrible customer service experience at Hilton 2. Rather than getting on the highway frustrated to head back to GR I decided to get breakfast. I googled breakfast near me and City Cafe had 4.5 stars. Of course I clicked directions. The cutest gathering spot. Very kind staff. I told my waitress I was bummed and she said “well let me spoil you”, and she did exactly that. I choose comfort food, the fried chicken biscuit and gray bowl with a pumpkin pancake on the side. My meal was delicious!!!!!!!! Tender flavorful fresh and picture perfect. But the best part was a sweet little toddler smiling and waving at me across the room. Changed my mood immediately! Then a family was sat next to me and started chatting about the weather of course, which lead to me recommending the same meal. Then we girls started exchanging compliments about hair color and purses. Brightened my mood some more. The prices are really reasonable!!!

A beautiful, peaceful, and delicious spot for breakfast. Everyone says hello when you walk in, and the service was personable and kind. The menu is super unique and everything is delicious and has a homemade feel while still being above average food.
I'm from out of town and found this spot with my family we will probably eat here for breakfast multiple days this week.
I tip my hat to the waitress, she was awesome and attentive, can't remember her name but she also waits tables at a restaurant called bold just up the street.
Great service and delicious food, thanks for the great experience!
Edit: second stop for lunch time, same menu and the food was phenomenal again. Thank you Katelyn for the great service and experience!

Omg, the omelets are the literal worst you can find in the kalamazoo county area. Eggs overcooked, no effort, skimpy on the chèese , small portion, overpriced. Even the toast was gross with a pathetic attempt to butter it. Go to berries if you want a omelet cooked proper, for cheaper. Berries is literally 50x better than this joke of a restaurant. Dont even get me started on the flavorless, soggy, chewy hashbrowns at full city. Yuck.

It's overpriced. $45 for a breakfast for 2. A small caramel coffee alone is $7. Probably won't be back

I got the turkey and asparagus sandwich was pretty amazing!
One of my favorite places to eat. Highly recommend!
I did a pickup breakfast from here. Staff were so friendly, food was packaged great, and was delicious.
I highly recommend this location and will be returning
Full City Cafe has been on my Maps hit list and was finally able to visit for a late breakfast. Short walk through the attached coffee shop and seated quickly.
A great range of choices on the menu so we asked our server what was popular. We ended up getting the potato latke Benedict and the corned beef hash (homemade). Pretty sure that if you want toast with these, you’ll need to get a side order.
Both were excellent. Liked the coffee, too.
Bottom line, we’ll be back when we’re in the area!
