I wasn't expecting too much from a big chain but we had a good time. Our server constantly gave us refills and checked on us, some of the best service I have had. Restaurant seems well staffed which is a relief for modern times.
My steak was cooked how I requested, food tasted fresh. Food is well seasoned. Prices are reasonable. We had leftovers the next day which adds to the value. Rolls are excellent. Peanuts provided. Really good ribs. Their beans and ribs have an excellent smoke flavor. I recommend their sweet potato.

Me and my boyfriend went here pretty regularly for months until our last visit, My boyfriend and I both ordered a medium rare steak with 2 sides, his steak came out perfect though my steak was completely underdone and essentially still raw in the center where i usually wouldn’t mind a rare steak this was not that. I asked the server to speak to the manager as our waitress was lovely and i didn’t feel it should be her problem. The manager said they would put it back on the grill after i had cut into it which felt a bit unsanitary but none the less it went back, it returned it essentially the same raw state and i was fed up. I asked for a box and the check and how we could fix the situation the manager did not want to speak to me after the first encounter and avoided us at all costs. I believe the new management it not acting in good faith or toward good hospitality standards. I have worked in a food service for years previously and have never seen such atrocities.

Texas Roadhouse in Portage is my go-to when I feel like treating myself to the best. From those delicious rolls to the mouth watering steaks,I have yet to be disappointed. The employees are always friendly and acknowledge EVERY CUSTOMER-NO MATTER THEIR COLOR (take note Jac's Cekola's). Texas Roadhouse is ALWAYS busy because their food AND SERVICE is worth return trips!

I absolutely love love this place. I eat here at least once a week. Staff is super friendly and food is amazing. And fare prices for what you get, not to mention the unlimited rolls with honey butter yum definitely recommend it!! It's literally the only steakhouse that I can order my steak well well done And it still be juicy, amazing cooks They have!!!

Went to Texas Roadhouse in Portage with my nephew, his wife, their three kids, his mother-in-law, and a very exciting announcement — they’re having a baby boy! 👶💙🎉 Let me tell you, this place showed up and showed OUT.
I’m not usually a Texas Roadhouse kind of person, but after this visit? Consider me converted. 🤠✨
First off, the food was fantastic — hot, flavorful, and so good it made us all forget we were wrangling three kids at the table. 🍴🔥 The drinks? Amazing. I’m pretty sure mine could qualify as a small vacation in a glass. 🍹🏖️
But the real star of the show was Nicole, our server. Hands down one of the best I’ve had in YEARS. ⭐️💯 She was on top of everything — friendly without being fake, quick without making us feel rushed, and somehow managed to keep us all laughing while also keeping every order perfect. 😂👏 Honestly, if she ran for president, I’d probably vote for her. 🇺🇸😄
From start to finish, she made our celebration feel special, smooth, and downright fun. I would 100% come back just for her stellar service alone — and that’s coming from someone who didn’t think they were a Texas Roadhouse person. Well… turns out I am now. 🤷♂️💁♀️✨

Had a wonderful dinner with or kids and grandkids ♡ the food was amazing! The service was top notch. We had a large group, so we had to be separated.. 2 tables 2 servers, they never missed a beat. SO glad we chose this restaurant! GREAT experience

Always good food. The wait time for our food was reasonable considering how very busy it was. Our waitress,Ava was great! The atmosphere was a bit loud and I was thankful we were seated towards the back.
