This place will close in the next couple of months, and I, for one, will be sad to see them go. The food is always very delicious and made just the way it's pictured in the menu. I'll be stopping in several more times before they close in September.
Our server was great, but other than that it was mediocre AT BEST. The chef was sleeping in a booth in the corner when we arrived and the music was too loud and played 90% ads.The food was the worst part. Do NOT get sushi here. Each roll we got was tasteless, the raw fish was questionable and the tempura shrimp was barely fried and squishy. Miso soup was fine though.
Parking: Parking was easy because we were the only customers.
This is one of my favorite sushi places, all the sushi is really good, i think my favorite are the Dream Roll and the House
The food was actually quite tasty. They had one person doing the Sushi bar (mainly sitting in a booth doing nothing)! There was one person sitting people, waiting tables, delivering food, refilling drinks and answering the phone (which rang constantly). Guess they had one cook. My food showed up after the rest of the table was finished eating. They didn’t get their rice until my meal came out - just bad management.
Sadly, Wild Ginger is closing soon. But for many nights over the last couple years we have gotten food from them and it’s always been great! I will really miss the General Tso, wish I could get their recipe!
Everything tasted great & looked beautiful. Love the hot tea in ceramic pot & cups. Tasty cocktails.
The orange chicken, crab rangoons and sushi are all so good!!! They put the cause for the orange chicken separately in the to go bag to prevent it from getting soggy!!
IF YOU GO TO THIS PLACE, DO NOT ORDER THE FRIED CHICKEN WINGS, plz remove the wings from the menu :( Wings were dry overcooked and hard. Like they had been cooked before left under a heat lamp then dropped in the fryer to reheat them!
General Tso's chicken is the best I've ever had!! Great quality chicken with crispy breading that melts in your mouth. Never disappointed!
Great gem in @portage Michigan for fusion food ! We went with a local group of friends from Lighting Kicks Martial Arts after a phenomenal training session! After my workshop, I was hungry and they said this a good place. In my opinion: a fantastic place! Friendly staff and prompt service !

It's very rare I leave lower than 5 star reviews, but this place was an odd one. We ordered hot and sour soup, which was good, pot stickers were great, sushi came out wrong 2 times. Pad Thai which is in the pic was more like pad soup a made up dish. This restaurant is confused as to what type of food they make. Definitely not
My family and I have been a regular customers at Wild Ginger for years, since 2016/2017! The restaurant and the food itself is great, Carmen is absolutely fantastic every time I go there, And the sushi chef, Tony, is amazing. But, recently, they just hired a new girl there, Kate, absolutely unprofessional!! She does not know how to handle certain situations when under pressure. The last time I went here, the credit card machine was down, it took her almost 45 minutes to get it handled, then she repeatedly begged/pressured me into giving her a big tip. UNACCEPTABLE and totally UNPROFESSIONAL. I’ve worked in the food/retail business before, and that is not how you treat a customer, especially a regular customer that has been coming for years!! I have never complained, not once since I’ve been going to this restaurant, so for me to have to make a review online, says a lot!!
Reading these comments,I agree with the good, the bad, and the ugly. Because this restaurant can be all three, sometimes in the same night. They are rude. The servers are all Western co-Ed’s who happen to be trapped in in income purgatory. They all want great tips, and act very put out if you don’t oblige. The food can be chaotic, I think because the menu covers like all five continents, and all eight food groups. Ever heard that expression, “not everything worth doing is worth doing well?” Well, I rest my case. But I do like their fried rice and wantons. You can have the octopus and eel. Not my cup of Jo. The end.
Really seemed overrated for the price. Spicy soft noodles were good. Hot and sour soup was ok. Kung pao my dad ordered tofu and got chicken. The Pad Thai didn't taste like traditional Pad Thai it was basically flavorless. Crab Rangoon were also overcooked. The Pad Thai also seemed like the oil had an off flavor possibly rancid? Not positive took some home to see if anyone gets sick.
When we walked in there were no diners and almost left. So happy we stayed. Everything was outstanding; food and service. I had Pad Thai and hubby tried a variety of things. Serving sizes were generous. I had shrimp and was so surprised that it was deveined, a good size and there were over 14. Only able to eat about half so requested take away and got reusable plastic containers. This place is a hidden gem!! So sorry I didn't take pictures. Will definitely be back. Also, did notice a lot of take away customers in and out with big bags!!
