We order online, the food is good but the accuracy is frustrating and bad. Today we ordered two orders of salmon nigiri and only got one. The online order shows two, the fulfillment ticket with the food shows only one. So we got charged $5 for missing salmon. In the past we've ordered nigiri and gotten rolls instead. The systems aren't connected and it's too frustrating and unreliable. I will avoid online ordering from here in the future.
Excellent place for Japanese food in Portage, MI! I have been here multiple times and love their lunch bento boxes! You can try a different one each time, and it’s more than enough for one person.
You get a miso soup or salad, I recommend the soup, then a rectangular box with dividers portioning out a protein of your choice, potstickers, rice, and sushi! I like it for the variety and it’s just plain fun eating out of a true Japanese style box! Meat choices are tempura shrimp - which is special Japanese battered shrimp lightly fried to perfection, similarly fried pork chops, teriyaki salmon or chicken, and maybe even veggie options as well. Good environment, owners are local to the area and very friendly. Great lunch spot and anytime when you are in the area! Highly recommended.
