Sand Bay Trading Co. and Woody’s Grand Lake

We owned a fantastic Italian Restaurant in Northeast Michigan for 17 years so I feel very qualified to fairly rate a Restaurant.
This place is a fantastic hidden jewel. Bobber appetizer great, the Pasta with house made Alfredo Sauce and Ray, our server, recommended the blackened chicken added to the pasta. Out of control delicious. Very clean really great interior and needless to say a 5 plus on the food. We will be back count on it.

Great atmosphere, excellent service and food was really good. Whenever you find a place that doesn't have a gigantic menu, it will usually mean that they concentrate on doing fewer items well 🙂 Loved the candies carrots!

Don’t waste your time here. Poor service, rude employees, and they make up their hours on the fly. Avoid. Better places with friendlier people nearby.

Great food - worth the wait & chaos. Wish the place was open more than 5 hrs/day.

Service was bad. Food was not good. Steak was chewy and overcooked. Took over an hour to get our food because they didn't send our order to the cooks. Spend your money elsewhere. We definitely won't be coming back.

Ice-cream cones are tiny... go to the harbor, they give out a decent size ice-cream scoop

My wife and I had two dinners here last week. Both dinners were excellent! Ray is an outstanding server. Food is fabulous and prepared expertly. Prices are very reasonable. Best food we have enjoyed in this part of Michigan for two years running now. Highly recommended!

You can always count on a great meal and fantastic service at Woody’s! I always look forward to seeing the great staff as Ray and Cheryl are on top of making sure your experience is top notch!

Visited for Dinner on Monday night and it was exceptional. I have heard so many positive things and everything was amazing imo as well. Pizza was cooked to perfection and tasted great. The atmosphere was nice and the views of Grand Lake are so perfect! I will be back and bring friends to enjoy some really reasonably priced wine also. Do yourself a favor and check this place out!

We were there last night (03-02-24). My wife ordered the Bison Burger. She ordered it medium rare, it came out meduum well, but she still enjoyed it. I ordered the sauerkraut/keilbasa glten free crust pizza! I wasn't sure what I was expecting but OMG! This was AMAZING! I would recommend Woody's to anyone. The staff was great. The manager, awesome! Listen. This place is amazing. Get the burger. Get the pizza. Get the whatever. The food is AMAZING. Off the beaten path but don't let that fool you. So good.

Love this environment, service and food! We've had the shrimp battered and sauteed multiple times and it's always great. The salads are fresh. The vegetable side is always fresh and well seasoned. The French onion soup is delicious! Can't wait to try more food!
