Best wine tour I’ve ever done (beat personal experiences in FR, IT, and SF).

Easily the best vineyard I’ve ever been to. James is amazing. The wines are delicious and probably the best I’ve ever tasted.

We revisited Wyncroft Wines years after finding them. Amazing wines, for any US State! Must try!

My husband and I absolutely love these wines and this vineyard. We fell in love with Wyncroft Chardonnay more than 20 years ago. The quality of the wine is just as great today. The vineyard is beautiful. If you have not, do a tour. Call first. We did a tour yesterday, and it was so amazing. Jim and Daun are the nicest people, and Jim knows and cares about wine. If I could give more stars, I would.

Very nice winery. Glad we stopped by on our travels.

We went for a tour and tasting and it was the most fantastic experience. James was so knowledgeable about the grapes, wine, and the nature surrounding them. We learned so much and tasted some great wine! Amazing place and people.

My wife and I loved our visit to Wyncroft. James is a wonderful educator on wine in an engaging, unpretentious manor where anyone at any level of wine knowledge would enjoy the visit and feel welcome. He knows his own wines and vineyard exceptionally well given that he and his wife farm it themselves. The Wyncroft wines are phenomenal. The Lepage Pinot Noir hits well above the $45 price point and the Blaufrankisch (savory, peppery, balanced fruit) stands up against a high end Austrian or German version. We purchased both! We look forward to a return visit.

While traveling pure Michigan, we were lucky enough to have a unique excellent educational wine tour experience with winemaker James Lester at Wyncroft winery located in Pullman, MI. The tour culminated all of the fresco styles outside the winery to taste five samples of the finished wine paired with a tasting of local bread and cheeses. James Lester is a fantastic humorous host and very knowledgeable winemaker who grows many of the noble vinifera grape varieties from which the world's most exceptional wines are made. The tour requires an appointment because Wyncroft doesn't operate as a usual winery, and the owner lives on-premises. The interesting coincidence of that day was a pleasure to enjoy the joy of the excellent company and philosophy of life and grapes poured into one glass with another small group of visitors. All of them were from Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine.? And wine... I wish I could write some poetry praising the hard work and dedication of winemaker and appreciation of such a vibrant aroma of his wines.

This is a must visit for any oenophiles or if you are simply curious about the high potential for Michigan wines. Jim Lester is one of the top winemakers/viticulturists in Michigan and his wines show it year-after-year, weather permitting. His red Shou, a blend in the Bordeaux style, is the best dry red I have ever tasted from our state. It would hold its own against competition from other more famous growing regions, IMHO. Try for yourself and see what you think! He's a great guy also. You won't be disappointed.

Wow! We've had the pleasure of visiting wineries around the world, but never had the experience we had today with the winemaker! I'd give them 10 stars if I could for the experience. And another 10 for the wines. Must do...
