The Friday Perch Special now,...........ABSOLUTELY SUCKS. The Lake perch dinners have always been top notch. The batter was more of a nice light coating that was delicious as were the fries. Well fool me once I guess. I ordered two perch dinners last Friday for carry out because my wife is having a procedure done early this week and didn't want to be around crowds and figured it would nice to enjoy our favorite meal from Hamlin's. I opened the carry out container to find dark brown chunkies of thick hard batter and this dry fish. We only ate two pieces and the rest is getting tossed out..The reason behind fool me once is that what always has been Lake Perch is now a fish called Zander Perch and they raised the price. It's a big fish from far away lands. Look at there specials. I wish I would have instead of relying on memory.

Their saying says it all. It’s a place where everyone is a regular. The waitresses are fantastic and kitchen staff make great Reuben’s and pizzas. I came here on St. Patrick’s and it was a party with the DJs and radio station!

Was there for lunch, very busy MSU basketball was on. Food took a long time to come out approximately 30 min. I had a chicken sandwich, and my business colleague had the Ruben.Very good and was hot. It did not sit out prior to our server bringing it out. Our server was friendly and checked on us several times, even with it being very busy.

Honestly, I’ve been here multiple times but I think today will be my last time. Prices vs. portions have become just ridiculous. I ordered fish and chips for $16 and got two pieces of fish and burnt but (somehow also cold) fries. I only ate a few fries and half of a piece of the cod. After finding three bones in it, I was over it. I kept waiting for the server to ask how the food was so I could address it but it didn’t happen. I would’ve had better food for a much better price from the Coney Island. Just…really disappointed.
