It's similar to a Coney Island diner concept but pains me to even make the comparison. Massive menu of options with fresh, quality ingredients. This is the place you want to go.

I have lived in Richmond for seven years, and now I know why I have avoided this place this whole time living here. Today it was a choice between driving into Shelby for First Watch or staying in town and stopping in Papou's based on these reviews. I have no idea why anybody has given 5 stars about this place. The food was disgusting and I might as well have thrown 40 bucks for breakfast out the window. The bacon was so yucky and salty, the hashbrowns tasted like rancid oil, and the eggs were just bleh. My son had an omelette and he said it was dry and disgusting. Even the water in the cup tasted chemically disgusting. The staff is overly friendly, which is nice, but my waitress went into the bathroom when I was in there and she blew her nose. I had to ask her if she was going to wash her hands. She walked out of the bathroom and washed her hands in the sink behind the counter. So later in this day, my husband and I both have diarrhea from this place. A complete waste of money, a waste of time, and it's not pleasant with a sick stomach. Avoid, avoid - I should have just gone to First Watch.

Just tried this place recently for the first time. Boy have I been missing out. I've been a handful of times now. The food is great and the prices are great. I've only had to things this far.... Grecian bowl, and the Doctor salad. Both are outstanding. This is 100% better than fast food for a much better price.
We love Papous. The food is always amazing. No matter what we get. Stuffed cabbage, shrimp, sweet and sour chicken, hamburgers, sandwiches...it's like Coney Island on steroids.The service is also top notch. The staff is so friendly. They seem like they love working there.

Excellent food and service everytime! Reasonable prices and generous portions...highly recommend! Their Philly cheesesteak is the absolute best...perfect amount of steak, cheese, mushrooms, peppers and onions...the fried zucchini is also delicious too for a appetizer!

Eat here often with my family. Food types are Greek, Italian, and American style dishes. Happy to return there, only drawback is their hours of operation do change from time to time. Closed this past Saturday (maybe for the holiday weekend?) and closed on Sundays.
