Stopped in this place on the way up north and what a surprise to find an excellent restaurant in a small little town. The owners were very hospitable and was greeted with such a warm welcome. The service was great and the food was exceptional as well. We will stop in whenever passing through again!

This cafe is a gem!! The staff was very personable and friendly. The owner seated us and was so sweet. We ordered the ham skillet and the potato pancakes. The food was piping hot and very good. My only critique is that the potato pancakes needed salt but that is more of a personal preference. I would highly recommend the Village cafe!!

George, what has happened to the Village Cafe? We ate there today. The hash browns were cold, the toast was saturated with butter, and your restrooms have cleaner. It made long for yesteryear when I rated this place with 5 stars.

We stopped for lunch. They close at 3. The menu is huge and there are also specials. We got a breakfast and a salad with soup. The potato soup was not hot and not good. The chicken salad was ok; their Greek dressing is very good. The breakfast was good as well, minus the hash browns which were under cooked. Staff is extremely pleasant and engaging. I know it's an older restaurant, but it could use an update and a good scrub. We spent about 30.00 before the tip.

I felt cold while wearing my coat. The menu was difficult to read given that almost every word was capitalized. It was quite loud as well, could hardly have a conversation, and the waitress couldn't hear me ask a question about the drinks. Couldn't think of what to eat with how much was going on, so I didn't, ended up leaving unsatisfied enough to actually make the effort to leave a review.
