Absolutely incredible food!! I cannot believe how much food we got for the amount we paid! It fed two adults and three kids then in the morning leftovers four adults for lunch! I believe the owner was Sam and he was so hospitable he gave us some delicious bread while we were waiting for our order! Truly, the best Mediterranean food I’ve had in my life!
I recently learned this place was nominated for Time Detroit's Best Mediterranean restaurant of 2024, and the food shows that qualityMy family order food here the first time and it was absolutely delicious. As a heads up right now, they don't have sides of falafel available, which is unfortunate. We ordered online and there's a notice that says something along the lines of "Prices will change in accordance with Menu".... and the bill came out to be like $10 more on pickup. Again, delicious food, but that rubbed me the wrong way.They also have this huge stack of Styrofoam containers blocking the glass window so you can't see the kitchen, and it makes me skeptical on what's happening behind there. Clearly food Magic, but still.I'd definitely go again, but ignore the $10-20 price range and go before 4pm for their lunch items. You're not walking out of there without a $30 meal, and their lunch items are the items that are the most reasonably priced.Parking: Spots in front of the business and for the rest of the strip mall.
Mezza's blatant disregard for Michigan's anti-smoking law is appalling. I waited outside for my food in 38-degree rainy weather while patrons inside puffed cigars, filling the restaurant with smoke and endangering others' health. Is this their idea of hospitality? Do they care about public safety at all? This isn't just an inconvenience, it's a serious health hazard. Mezza needs to get in line with the law and protect its customers, or face the consequences.

Walking into Mezza was like stepping into a time warp, not in a good way. The decor screamed neglect, with dusty corners and upholstery that reeked of past diners and forgotten cigarettes. The pervasive odor, reminiscent of a dirty mop closet, only added to the unappetizing ambiance. But the real disappointment lay on the plate. My takeout order, promised in a mere 20 minutes, took over an hour to materialize. Even then, it wasn't what I'd ordered. After waiting an eternity, I was presented with a sad excuse for food that wouldn't have looked out of place at a gas station after a week under the candy rack. Bland, uninspired, and utterly forgettable, it offered zero redeeming qualities. Mezza could be salvaged, but it would require a complete overhaul. From a thorough cleaning and decor refresh to a revamped menu and a serious re-think of their service efficiency, there's much room for improvement. Until then, I sadly recommend steering clear

Loved this place! The food was delicious! It was so good, we ate most of it before I could take photos. Highly recommend the falafel and the hummus plate. The pita bread was fresh and hot out of the oven! The portion sizes are very big, so plan on bringing your appetite and sharing with someone. The owner was amazing! He came to check on us throughout our meal to make sure everything was perfect. He was very kind to us and made us feel like we were welcomed guests in his home.
The food was delicious! The servings were enormous! The only thing better than the food and the servings was the service.The service was amazing and we're so happy we chose to eat here out of all the options.Thank you Mezza!

Regularly overcharged- menu and charged prices are not the same, when brought up they say, oh well, higher price and justify it somehow-- awful business practice. Never know if you'll get what you ordered. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's not. The lentil soup is among the worst I've ever had :/ Why do I go back?! Menu online states under sandwiches there is a sandwich etc combo for $10, tried to order that, told it's only for lunch- well update your website. Ordered an online menu item with listed price, and when picked up was told that's not the dinner price--then note that on your website!!! That's why they want you to call in your order, then they can just make up prices. After a more recent experience overcharged, again, I won't be back. Don't recommend, unless you like to be overcharged and maybe, maybe not get what you order.

Not the best experience. Ordered takeout lunch. Got home and discovered they got the order wrong- not a big deal. But in the side salad there were many brown, old pieces of lettuce- makes me wonder how fresh everything else is. Pita bread is weirdly dense and tastes like saltines.With the variety of Mediterranean food available in the area, I don’t see a reason to return to Mezza.
