Sushi Cafe is a great spot for solid, reliable sushi. The fish is fresh, the rolls are well made, and everything we ordered came out quickly and tasted great. It’s not overly fancy, but it consistently delivers on quality — which is exactly what you want from a neighborhood sushi place.
The menu has a good variety of classic rolls, nigiri, and specialty options without feeling overwhelming. We especially liked the spicy tuna roll and the dragon roll — both were flavorful, with a nice balance of texture and presentation. Prices are reasonable for the quality, and portions are just right.

They are just fantastic; my family has been coming there for years, and they continue to get better. Donna and Brandon are so friendly, and I'm not an expert, but they're the best sushi chefs in the world.

Favorite sushi place in the area ❤️ I usually go for lunch and get the 3 roll special, a good amount of vegan options including the miso soup! If veg, they bring out a cucumber salad but ask for no crab :)

$15 for omurice and this is what you get. A brown piece of the thinnest scrambled egg you’ve ever had and a pile of absolutely flavorless “fried rice” with uncooked vegetables. This is garbage. Also the sushi was warm and incredibly “fishy” definitely not fresh.

Food is very good. However the restaurant is small, with very limited seating. Also, the kitchen always closes early. If ordering a carryout, be cognizant of the time. They usually don’t take orders within 45-minutes of closing time.

Go to place for Sushi in Rochester . Proportional rice to fish ratio . Fish is always fresh and rice is cooked perfectly

I wanted to love it, but the sushi rice was so soft it fell apart when you picked it up. Even the fried rolls were soggy. I LOVE sushi and this is close to my work, so I’m always down to try new places, but it’s really the rice that did it for me. Outside of that being sticky/super soft it seems like the ingredients were fresh and I did like that. The flavors were there. If you like softer rice, then this would be the spot for you. I gave 3 stars because the flavor and ingredients seemed legit, but I personally wouldn’t go again.

Sushi was excellent I got the Coco roll and the Michigan roll, I also got the spicy crab salad only complaint is not enough crab, and finally we got an ome rice with shrimp it was great, there was no music not a lot of people so the atmosphere was a little off but was very nice and clean in there.
