Sushi Kafe Rochester

My fiancee and I absolutely love Sushi Kafe. We came here on a whim because our usual place was closed and the food was phenomenal. I ordered the Michigan roll and the Yum Yum Roll and both were great. The service was fast and the staff were very helpful. We plan to make it our new regular spot.

First time here, it was recommended by some individuals I met through pickleball (shoutout to Bash Pickleball in Warren). Two of them are the children of the owners of this restaurant. My priority in picking a sushi spot this time was to accommodate gluten-free individual(s) and Sushi Kafe ended up being that spot. Just let the server know that you're gluten-free and they will let you know what you're able to get. I made a reservation in advance (a week out) for a party of 9 at 6pm on a Sunday. I arrived 10-15 minutes early and our table was already set and ready for my group.

Four of us ended up getting a total of 9 sushi rolls + 4 nigiri to share, some of the recommendations given to us included: SnT, Triple Spicy Tuna, and Pink Panther. We ended up getting all 3 and other specialty rolls. The four of us agreed that all rolls were delicious, plus the other rolls we ended up ordering (can't remember all the names). Unfortunately, one of the individuals is a slightly heavier fellow who ate the majority of it; which also tells you how good the sushi is, but a couple of us were still hungry afterwards, so we ended up getting some wings later on at a different restaurant.

Overall, I'd definitely recommend this sushi spot, service, atmosphere, and quality were all on point. They were also generous to give us 3 servings of banana tempura ice cream for dessert, on the house. The only thing I can say they should add (just for the aesthetics) is a sushi boat for large orders.

Super super yummy and fresh tasting sushi!! I was impressed. Loved the spicy salmon hand roll and SnT roll. Also tried the okonomiyaki, which was really good.

Excellent place with lots of options - way more than just sushi! Japanese pancake was my favorite, and fried avocado ball appetizer was also excellent. Cucumber salad also great. Just wish the takoyaki balls had a little more filling.. (I also personally recommend if you’re sugar-conscious to ask for everything without sauce as the sauces are fairly sweet.)

By far the best sushi restaurant I've had in North America. We ordered the Pink Panther Rolls, Red Dragon Rolls, SNT rolls and Salmon Sashimi. They were extremely delicious. Absolutely mouthwatering. The waitress was also very accommodating. I mistakenly ordered the Sashimi Deluxe forgetting to tell her that I only wanted salmon sashimi, yet when they brought the plate over, I told her if she can return the plate and bring over only salmon sashimi, which she happily did. I hope to find more branches of this restaurant all over town.
