A hidden gem in our area was recommended to us. A small restaurant serving Japanese fare and spirits. Menus in Japanese and English. I had a chicken dish over rice that was generous in portion and superior in flavor. Our dining companions had an assortment of sushi selections served on 2 huge platters. Again, the sushi portions were large and flavorful. Service was pleasant, professional, and prompt. We will be back. I'd recommend Take Sushi to anyone wanting a quiet, Japanese meal in a cozy location with friends.Kid-friendliness: Children were treated with the same respect as the adults. The servers were as attentive as any I've seen anywhere we've dined.

the staff is very nice and friendly. we chose to dine in and it took over an hour to get food. its hard to sit there and watch 50-100 takeout orders get put together but the entire restaurant hasn't eaten anything. That being said, the waitstaff is amazing and very kind and hard working.

Amazing! Some of the best sushi I have had in America! The meat is always the highest quality and the staff is really great! When I want sushi, I know this is the place to go!

The sushi rolls all taste excellent, and the specialty maki rolls are huge compared to most places! This is my favorite place to get sushi from.

I've been here several times trying to give it a chance and have been disappointed each time. It's been there for a while and I'm shocked it has good reviews, it's very overrated. My entree took 45 minutes to make, the sushi rolls are too big you need like three bites and it all falls apart. We asked to get new rolls and they literally told me no and that I HAD to pay for it. Then when we asked to speak to the manager (which I rarely do because I hate being that type) she never came. I had to walk up and find her. They weren't even busy. Do yourself a favor, skip this one.

This is my favorite place ever in Rochester. Everyone I recommend this restaurant to falls in love. The food is consistently delicious and the restaurant is always very clean and very cozy. The wait staff has always been very kind and attentive. I have not been dining in due to covid, but I highly appreciate the staff still masking to protect themselves and their patrons. Thank you for feeding me Take Sushi <3 (try the OMG roll!!!!)

My husband & I were both disappointed in the food, it is no longer authentic Japanese, it is Korean. We have been coming here sine they opened several yrs ago, have been there in a while. The California roll was terrible, couldn't taste the fake crab & the outside rice layer did not have salmon roe or sesame seed it was plain rice. The shrimp tempura & agadashi tofu did not come with grated daikon & ginger, when I asked for some they said they don't have any daikon or ginger. I told them it should come with both dishes, she said sorry.

Back in Detroit and me and my husband had to go to our favorite place in the world, Take sushi. Sushi's was pretty good. Scratch that. The sushi was phenomenal. I always feel a deep connection to the service workers there and I feel as though they are making our food with love and care to make sure we have the best meal in the world. It feels like you're stepping into another world. You're going from this regular old strip mall outlet to all of a sudden you were having fine dining, love this place.
