The food was very delicious and in huge portions! I was very satisfied with the size, quality, and deliciousness of the food for the cost. It is a little pricey compared to other places in the area, but the quality and portions make it worth it.The only real issue we had was our server, who was new on the job. I'm not sure if they do not provide great training or what the issue was. She did not know how to ring in any of the happy hour specials. She was not very friendly, as well as very short and unpleasant. I understand being new, but when you don't know how to do something and just walk away mid taking an order with out explaining why you did it is terrible customer service. This happened multiple times through out the 4 people at our table ordering. I'm going to assume it was a training issue because she seemed clueless, but trying her best and almost frustrated with the situation she was in.

Slow service from bartender who spent more time in dishes behind bar than waiting on customers. Most over cooked chicken wings I had in my life, almost impossible to chew, but they kindling removed them from my bill.sliders were just average. Prices seemed fair. Club keno service was very slow for bartender preoccupation with bar back jobs.

a group of friends went there to have the grilled steaks and Blue Moon, the best in the area. The grilled steaks are not available anymore due to the smoke, the waitress explained and Blue Moon that day was not available. After some complains our waitress could talk with someone and the Blue Moon was served, but the grilled steak......

First time here, and it was a Marine veteran reunion. Food was absolutely awesome, service by amber was phenomenal, and the manager Antonette was incredibly personable. Recommend the crab on special! We will be back!

Is this place under new ownership? My wife and son went a few months ago and said it was great, so we brought the whole family tonight and I feel compelled to write a review. I never do this.I got the steak fajitas - the skillet veggies were soggy and overcooked, the beans were awful, Mexican rice tasted like rice with marinara on it, and just overall yuck. My wife got the soft shell crabs - she took one bite and said she didn’t like it. I, being raised on the Atlantic coast, said I would swap meals with her. OMG, I took a big bite of crab and it literally tasted like I got a big bite of pluff mud. My boys got pretzel sticks, chicken tenders, and a burger. The burger and pretzel sticks were pretty good, but the tenders tasted like they were battered in doughnut batter.I won’t be eating here again, but if you go, get the pretzel sticks and a beer - those are pretty good.

Tuesday taco night... free chips and salsa. If you stay until 8:00... trivia. Like stopping here for a good change of pace.

I actually had some time to myself in the afternoon on Easter and stopped here for a quick bite and drank. I was floored at how well everything ran on a busy holiday. The service was extremely friendly and all over any requests I had. The food and drinks were great and the restaurant just appeared to run like a well-oiled machine. Most restaurants are short staffed on major holidays, whereas Grand Tavern appeared to have it all figured out ahead of time.I had visited a couple times to watch NCAA tournament games and I've noticed that things here have really improved over the last couple months. Food orders come out quicker than ever and the staff is very attentive. The owners hired a new manager called Netty a couple months ago that I've met and had some friendly banter with, and she is absolutely brilliant at what she does. Extremely friendly and very service oriented. Whatever they're paying her is not enough.Obviously I'll continue to be a regular customer to Grand Tavern while it continues to impress.

Easter Brunch today. Amazing! The place was packed. We had reservations for 1pm. Arrived just before 1 and the waiting area was overflowing to outside. Thought we were in for a long wait. We were not. We were seated at 1 and in line for the buffet by 1:10. Great selection of breakfast and lunch foods. Stations for omelets, carved meats, and crepes. Tables overflowing with pastries and fresh fruit. No one left hungry! They advertise brunch every week. Not sure if it is always this nice but worth a try.

Tables are really close together, but on a Tuesday night it wasn't crowded so not an issue. Nice atmosphere, probably a good place to watch a game at. I ordered the BBQ Platter. Large portion, all slightly overcooked and just ok. The salmon others ordered was just ok. My wife ordered the chicken sandwich and she said it was good. Waitress seemed uninterested and not very friendly. On the plus side the food came out quickly and the neighboring tables Nachos looked great. Based on other reviews maybe we just caught an off night, but won't be back.
