I have been telling friends and other people about Tonia's Victorian Rose teahouse.Tonia's food, service and, just the very cute house, itself are a pleasure to experience. The waitstaff is quite excellent, as well as informative. You are surrounded by an uplifting, pleasant atmosphere. Also noted, other customers tend to be very friendly and strike up conversations, which I really enjoy!

Quaint little tea shop in downtown Rochester. A friend had a baby shower here, and it felt like the perfect spot for them to have it.

Went to Victorian Rose for the first time as part of a baby shower. The attention to detail was fantastic. The menu had a lot of great items, but I am gluten-free, so I wasn't sure what my options would be. To my surprise, not only was the soup gluten-free and delicious, but my whole plate was made especially for me. The bread for the cucumber sandwich, the crust on the quiche, even the little tart was gluten-free! It was extremely clear that the owner and staff cared about making the whole thing a great experience for everyone! I would recommend this to anyone, and rumor has it, there will be a speakeasy added soon!

Time for tea! My sister and I wanted to check out a true tea house and Tonia's Victorian Rose does not disappoint! Everything was delicious. I highly recommend the pot pie ? omgosh it's great ? The owner introduced herself. The staff was very friendly. Very relaxing and they had a great selection of endlessly timey classics. Beautifully decorated. A lovely spot to unwind.

The reason I am only giving 2 stars is because this place is outrageously overpriced. I took my friend there today for her birthday, along with 2 other friends. We were seated promptly [we had reservations], but the service was extremely haphazard. My biggest gripe was the price for what was received. We ordered the Duchess tea service for 2, and 2 of us were ala carte. The Duchess tea service was $38 per person. We received one 2-tiered tower [sandwiches on one level, desserts on the other]. This was to be split among 2 people. There were maybe 4 small "sandwiches" and 4 or 6 SMALL desserts [think the size of a chocolate covered strawberry] Now I can see that it might be fair if each person got their own tower, but $76 for what was received was insane. I understand that included a 20% gratuity, but why? Afraid people won't tip when they see what they are getting? I ordered the quiche for $17. What I received was a 3-4" tart of quiche. I had fruit substituted for the salad, which was nice. I left hungry. I seriously would NOT recommend this place to anyone.

Cute place - we went there for a shower and enjoyed the Victorian rose tea and peach tea served in beautiful tea, pots and old-fashioned tea cups. We enjoyed the tower of tea accoutrements, including cucumber, sandwiches, cut into heart shapes, quiche and chicken salad, sandwiches and croissants along with sweet treats of chocolate raspberry cake, balls, cranberry bread with clotted cream and lemon tartlets. This is a cute and unique place with friendly servers in a thoughtful environment.

Such a warm, charming and delicious tea room. The ambiance is welcoming and comfortable. The tea selection is abundant. The cream of asparagus soup was perfect! Fabulous scones with clotted cream. Loved the tea sandwiches and the quiche. The lemon curd pods in earl grey crust were spot on. Our server was kind, attentive, knowledgeable and charming. Had an opportunity to meet and speak with Tonia. What an extraordinary woman with a rare passion for her business that shows in every detail. Highly recommend Tonia’s Victorian Rose for an Afternoon Tea or any special event!

Wonderful food, fantastic service and over the top amazing atmosphere. Went for the Harry Potter dinner. Every detail was thought out and tied to the books - from the moment you walk in you are sorted to your house, then you pass through a very convincing brick wall at platform 9 3/4 to a space dripping in Harry Potter. The food was from scratch and absolutely delicious. The butter beer was a joy! The kids thought the lemonade was too sweet, I thought it was great. There was 1 server for the entire place and you still felt like you were the only customer. The trivia was actually kinda hard but super fun! The parking is against and behind the building which is great. The staff made you feel like family. The booking was online and super easy. Will go again for sure!!
