**Update** Dickey's called to apologize and offered a refund. The general manager was very sympathetic. Grateful for this call and that they are working to make this right. We look forward to trying Dickey's in the near future.

Original: We placed an order online for pick up, meal was due to be ready at 8 p.m. The restaurant's lights were on though the door was locked. After knocking, the workers said they were closed and shrugged off a refund. The restaurant's hours online, on their website and their business door reflect they don't close until 9 p.m. They processed the order and took payment, yet no meal was available at the time guaranteed an hour before close. No refund, no apology, no dinner from Dickey's Barbecue Pit.

I camt say enough good things about Dicky's. The food is absolutely fantastic!! We've literally trued everything on the menu and there isn't one thing we didn't like.... the baked potatoes are by far the best baked potatoes I've ever had. We would 100% recommend Dicky's in Rockford & they cater!!!

Parking: They have a parking lot with plenty of room.

Kid-friendliness: The staff is amazing, they are so kind and accommodating and will always welcome families!!

Wheelchair accessibility: Very easy to maneuver around and easy to get into the restaurant.

There were a few construction guys that came in before us and were sitting down and getting their food. By time we ordered and sat down to eat our food they were gone. So, here we are with one other table of 4 people. We are just 2. They ran out of Mac NCheese at 12:30 on a Wednesday. We waited about 20 minutes before we got our order nobody even behind us. The food is mediocre to say the least. Semi warm. Not hot. There were three people working behind the counter. They kept talking about it being utter chaos. Not sure how…. 7 people in the resturant. They subbed out the Mac n cheese for mashed potatoes. They were gross. Not satisfied at all. At the end, the owner went to the other table and asked them how everything was. I’m guessing he didn’t want to hear my response. But here it is.

Absolutely love the pulled pork. Great service, great food. Only complaint is the pop machine is always out of everything except ice.

I like this place a lot. The food is great but the service or staff can be hit or miss. They had some younger kids working there that really seemed they could care less about the job or service (mostly the younger boys would stand around and let the girl do everything). I fully support kids working, but the kids at McDonalds down the road were more service driven. However, lately I have been in there and the adult staff has always been very welcoming and even conversational.

I grew up in Texas, and this felt like a Texas place. The Bar-B-Q was tender and juicy. We will certainly do it again.

Rockfords dickeys was amazing. Granted it’s expensive, but the meat is solid quality and the bread/buns are so good! My daughter is so picky and she ate her entire kids meal which is such a win. We will be back!!

This place sucks tbh. Didnt even get my fries till after i finished my whole meal. Drink machine is always out of order. I felt pressured into leaving a 15% tip. Wish i could take that back. Probably the last time i will ever waste my money here.

I should have learned from the last time. It seems they are always out of the popular turkey and diet coke. They don't tell you about the drink station being almost empty of everything until you have already paid.
