Awesome brunch spot! This is everything Rockford needed — and MORE. Highly recommend the Home Fry Hash; the braised short rib and chipotle aioli were unbelievably delicious. If you're looking for something lighter, the Fire Toast really lives up to its name — flavorful, fresh, and totally satisfying. Will be back soon!
MudPenny has made a reputation for itself of not only being delicious but also being a VIBE of an atmosphere. The new MudPenny Rockford location is hands-down my FAVORITE location yet. I don't even live in Rockford but I drive the 20 minutes out of my way to soak in the viiiiiibes. I love that the menu is a bit different from the other locations. We had a very enjoyable time! We tried the halibut and branzino for dinner and the shrimp appetizer — everything was delicious.
The cherries jubilee dessert, however, was not our favorite. Portions are on the smaller side, but the entrées make up for it in flavor.
Our server, David, was outstanding, and the manager, Spencer, stopped by multiple times and was very engaging. We’ll definitely be back!
