For such a small lounge, I have to say I really enjoyed it. I typically end up at a different club when I'm at DTW so this is my first time at A18. I really enjoyed the friendly service, and the view of the tarmac is rad! The only problem is that the seats with the best view get really warm during sunset, so be warned. It is August though, so maybe it isn't as warm the rest of the year.
The actually lounge itself is pretty outdated but the staff is incredibly friendly and the food is really good. Ask for Paul, he’s so great and will make you feel at home right away. I’m honestly looking forward to my next layover in Detroit to say hi to everyone!
Can’t say enough about the kind staff. The woman with blonde hair (I regret not getting her name) could not have been more helpful as I was weighing options for rebooking due a delayed flight. She spent so much time helping me get all the info we needed to predict which option was best, including looking into the inbound flights and crew assignments to make sure the flight I chose had a good chance of taking off on time with a flight crew available.
