This is a great place to stay and park your car if you are flying out of DTW. The rooms were spacious and clean. The entire staff (valet parking attendants, bell service and front desk) were very helpful. The only concern is that we stayed on December 25th and their on-site restaurant had run out of a number of entrees. However the staff was very flexible and found a good alternative. There is a TSA security checkpoint right next to the front desk.
Stayed here for three days during the auto show (we weren't there for the show) mainly due to price and location. We needed to be in Dearborn and Ann Arbor, so the location and valet parking were ideal. I hate paying for hotel parking and I believe that was $40/night at the Westin. Rooms are very well insulated from sound and we had a wonderful unobstructed ramp view that's important for plane nerds like me. I'm in a wheelchair but was easily able to use a standard...
The hotel is great if you are flying Delta, they even have aTSA check-point from the hotel. Great for flying in and out of the area, food was pricey but good. For a hotel at the airport it was quite.
