This was absolutely awful. I have never had bad food at Fred’s. It has been always overpriced, but had always been good food. I ordered breakfast burger. Asked for med well came out smash burger crispy - well done. Egg was certainly well done. Not the typical yolk running down the burger as you bight into it. Son ordered Mac and cheese burger and got a Mac and cheese burrito. Ok. I get you can make this hearing mistake. But you ask how you want the burger cooked , ground beef comes in the burrito …. So yeah. The ground beef will be cooked… it was the greasiest thing ever seen in a restaurant.. I tried it and it was more awful than the breakfast burger I ate. Wife ordered crispy chicken roll up. With more bacon bits than chicken. Daughter ordered sweet potato fries and they were OK.. if you like stale and flavorless. Music too loud. Waiter didn’t pre-buss, table was clustered whole time. I know this place changed hands a while back..seems to be an unfortunate move. Service was lackluster… Understaffed. Oh. And really cold.

Had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! Our waitress, Aubrey, was absolutely wonderful—friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The food was amazing from start to finish, full of flavor and beautifully presented. I also tried the Flip Flop cocktail, and it was so good—refreshing and perfectly balanced. Highly recommend this spot, and if you get Aubrey as your server, you're in great hands!

For the most part it's okay. I ordered nachos and you really had to look for the meat. Cheese was drizzled on..not what I expected. The lobster dip is tasty, but very little lobster. The bread to dip with is not enough. You will end up having to order more. Pizza is good. Waitresses are good.

Never in my life have I experienced service as horrendous as this place. The manager will throw fits over the smallest thing. Service is slow, food undercooked, and wrong. We used to enjoy this place, not sure what happened but won't be returning. Will gladly give my money to mcdonalds before I give it here. Not to mention they nickel and dime you for every little thing. Want a cup of ranch? 2 dollars. Ridiculous.

Very loud , manager was loudly discussing ordering different beers, asked for a medium burger definitely came out well done. Took forever to get the check. Would thought a local establishment in business for so long would be better. Just passing through. Next time won’t be stopping
We used to visit this cute, cozy restaurant a couple times each year that we came up north to kayak. Unfortunately, we will have to find somewhere else to eat going forward. The staffing is always short now. We waited an hour for our food in a nearly empty restaurant. When we did finally get it, almost every plate on our table had something incorrect or forgotten. The manager who came to see us was very condescending, confrontational, and rude. I feel so sorry for our waitress, who was doing her best being the only server. No wonder they're short-staffed with a manager like that.

You’re better off driving right past and going to Grayling or West Branch. Takes forever to get seated and once you do, it takes forever to get your food. Food is mediocre. They’re the only place in town and they treat you as such.

I spent part of my bachelor party here, and we had an awesome time! We bowled two games, enjoyed plenty of drinks and food, and stayed until close. Tia was an incredible server and a big reason why the entire bowling area ran so smoothly. She definitely deserves a raise. Tia is the MVP!
